I wouldn't use superglue. I used it once for a temporary repair on some safety glasses at work. 2 days later my eyes still watered when I wore them. Them fumes is BAD!!!

I use a 600 series machine. I've got the heated hose turned all the way down (maybe off?). I tried having the heat on, but felt stifled. I've also got the humidifier turned way down, otherwise I'm drowning an hour after bedtime. I'm sure I could turn both the heat on the hose and the humidity up, bu...

Well any noise this mask makes is from the vents. I suspect that the users reporting low noise levels are running low flow rates. I am using 14 cm H20 and my experience with the Swift II is like yours, the vents are the source of the majority of the mask noise! Cheers, Bill. Agreed. I'm at 6.5 now....

UPDATE... I've been sleeping and using CPAP through the night now, and more importantly, I awaken in the morning and it takes several moments for me to realize I'm still wearing the CPAP. I've had a few bouts with SEVERE dry mouth during the night. I guess my mouth falls open , but the last week or ...

Played around a bit more with this tonight. Here's the problem....this thing is noisy. The vent makes quite a bit of whistling noise. Not much to do. However, I did discover the reason why sometimes it sounded worse. To assemble this mask, you slide a rectangular clip over the front side of the nos...

Be patient! I've only been on CPAP for about 3 months now. It was rough at the beginning, used it maybe 2 hours the first night, had the pressure too low, too high, too wet (rainout), too dry. Kept adjusting, tweaking, fiddling, fastened the hose to the headboard (makes the coolest grating noise whe...

I'll be the bigger man and give the credit to my wife. My snoring had been getting worse and worse since we had been dating and then eventually married. Not coincidentally, my weight had been climbing as well. My wife was getting more and more annoyed at my snoring, so I told her I'd go to an ENT t...

Yup, I've got OSD and tinnitus. The ear ringing is from too many years around race cars and motorcycles, plus the noise at work. I'm lucky, the only time I really notice it is when I'm in a quiet enviroment. This makes getting to sleep difficult at times, usually when I'm away from home, as I need a...

I tended to snore more (Hey! I'm a poet and don't know it!) after having a few toddies, so I would think CPAP would be even more important in those cases.

I traveled for the first time with my CPAP since getting it 3 months ago. Stayed at a motel and having doubts about the cleanliness of the floor, I put it on the nightstand. Worked fine, and my wife didn't complain about the noise, so I assume it wasn't much different from home where I keep it on th...

I think my wife is liking the CPAP thing. Says it sounds like "white noise" and she's sleeping better. This CPAP is sort of a "two for one thing". You get better sleep, and so does your mate.

Maybe the problem is the perception that "everyone snores", at least that's what I hear the most. It would help if there was a cure better than wearing that damned mask EVERY night.
