Hi Ron and welcome to the family! I'm going on two weeks with a new machine, so alot more to learn.Boy did you have alot to say, you need to post more to get it out and compare notes.I have the RemStar Plus with humidifier. Hi Jay: My doctor said the humidifier was a necessity, so your throat doesnt get dry. She said your nose helps to do this when you breathe normally, but when using cpap,the air flow so fast it doesnt get humidity unless you have a humidifier hope this helps. Rod

Hi sorry to hear your sick. I'm new to this but was told if I get a cold or get sickto try to treat it or see the Doctor, and get it treated , and get back on the machine as soon as your able to. Rod

Hi Tom, Mine was set on two. I'm setting it on one tonight. Also my wife likes the bedroom cold so thats another reason to turn it down lower to help prevent condensation. I also tried to keep the excess hose under the covers with me. I may end up leaving the heater off when all is said and done. Ro...

Hi CollegeGirl: thanks for the info. My doctor is in Brookline. He refered me to the sleep centers in that area. I went to the one in Newton.They were great, I just didnt know what I was getting into!Hopefully I can do follow up over the fax. Rod
