Re: please recommend a new mask for me

Thanks, all! I wasn't aware that I could get replacement straps. That's certainly the most economical choice. I'm going to at least do that while I consider the other options.

please recommend a new mask for me

I started with a Swift II in 2008. After about a year I switched to a Swift LT, and it's been great. However, the straps are worn out. Can you recommend a new mask for me to get? I guess I'd like a nasal pillow mask, since that's what I'm used to. Are newer ones more highly regarded than the Swift L...

My bad.

It doesn't matter... I was just very confused.

Like I said ... who cares whether humans are the cause or not? If you are sitting on a train speeding towards a downed bridge, who cares whether it was blown up by al queda or taken out by an earthquake? ... you better start thinking how you are going to get off that train. I think it's an importan...

I have not read any global warming theories that can explain why other planets in the solar system are also getting hotter. Do some Google searches and you'll find articles about nearly every planet being warmer than it was a few decades ago. You can also find pictures showing the shrinking of Mars'...

Do you mean the machine itself stinks on the outside, or the air delivered through the hose stinks, or both? I assume you've replaced the filter and hose? Those will surely be permeated with tar and stench. I have never been very successful removing smoke smell from plastic surfaces (such as the pla...

For me it took about 2 or 3 weeks. I've only been doing it for about 8 weeks total, but I feel SO much better than I had for many years. The odd thing I find though, is that it only takes a slight variance in my total sleep time to produce a bad day. 7 hours - I'm good to go all day. 6.5 hours - I'm...

OK, so let me rephase that. It makes no noise that I can hear over the ambient sounds in the room, such as the CPAP machine itself, the central air vents, three dogs and my wife breathing, cars on the street, barred owls hooting outside, etc. Is that better? The S8 Elite machine is by far the loudes...

My Swift II makes no noise at all, so long as it isn't off-kilter and leaking.
