cleaning humidifiers

Does anyone know of a humidifier with a chamber that will come apart to be cleaned? Right now it is a huge pain to clean my humidifier b/c I have to fill it with disinfectant and soak it, rather than just being able to open it up and scrub the inside. i have the FP HC150. Any suggestions?

battery powered bipap??

I'm pretty sure no one here knows the answer to this question, but I just felt like venting. When will some company come out with a lightweight battery powered bipap??? I would love something like that, it would give me so much freedom, and I KNOW the technology is there because they have these supe...

should my mom get a sleep study?

So I'm in my late teens and I've been using a bipap for almost 2 1/2 years for a form of central sleep apnea. It was rough for quite a while but I seem to have it set up pretty well now. The thing is, now I'm wondering if my mom should get a sleep study to check for OSA. She's 54, and she's always s...

Hey, sorry I missed where you wrote that you had already tried an APAP. I have one more suggestion for you. Someone recommended this to me (haven't tried it myself yet though):

Sorry for the delay in replying. I know how you feel. I was completely miserable for a long time, and I would have given up if I had a choice, but I didn't. I'm still not sure why my problems went away, but I'm glad they did. I guess my body just adapted over time. I don't know about you, but when I...

I had huge problems with aerophagia for over a year after I first started bipap. Then somehow, over a period of a few months, they disappeared and now I have almost no problems. So there is hope for you. I think what helped me was changing my sleeping position. Personally, I find that if I sleep wit...

Hi Coach, I remember you from a while ago. How are you? I'm sorry to hear you're still having trouble. What pressures are you using on bipap? Why did you switch from cpap? Unfortunately I've never used a full face mask, so I can't help you out there. Maybe someone else will though.

Hi, I’m the one who posted a week or two ago about breathing trouble that seemed to have developed after I started using a bipap. After I got the bipap about two years ago, I started having horrible coughing fits (mostly in the morning) and wheezing. Actually, a few days after I made that post, I sa...

Guess what guys....my asthma medicine is working....at least a bit. I'm trying not to get too excited. I've been let down before. Coach, I hope you're doing better with the CPAP. Don't despair, it really does take time to get used to...believe me, I went through hell but I think I may have it ALMOST...
