HDM - Z1 Small Package, Big Disappointmemt

Traveled to California with my z1 for the first time this weekend. Was excited to pack it in my small messenger bag without any issues. Yes, it is super lightweight and portable. Unfortunately upon arriving at the LAX Marriott it would not start. I just got a flashing screen with flashing eights. Qu...

New Z1 cpap machine

So my Z1 arrived two days ago. Disappointed that it doesn't work with Sleepyhead and the software for Mac won't be available for 4 weeks. Supposedly the windows version comes out next week.

Spontaneous purchase arriving tomorrow.

Over the Thanksgiving holidays I flew with my brick of a CPAP machine slung over my shoulder. While in the TSA line an announcement was made to flag those traveling with breathing machine. The guy in front of me and I both raised our hands up as we were given a tray to put our machines in. I don't k...

cpap strap help

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I was last on here, and of course I'm back due to an "ISSUE". Past week I've developed red marks on either side of my forehead above my temples. At first I thought I was having an allergic reaction to something or shingles. Then I noticed that it lines up with ...

All these studies are making me depressed!

Not sure if it's because I'm newly diagnosed, but it seems like every friggin day a new study comes out linking sleep apnea to a medical issue. Hypertension, increased cancer risk and depression. Has it always been like this, or are doctors now becoming more aware of the issue and are doing more res...

Re: Recommendations on a hose cover/cozy/sock

Thanks for your help and recommendations everyone. Just ordered one from Padacheek. Ordered last week the Anti-leek strap, which was shipped out extremely fast.

Recommendations on a hose cover/cozy/sock

To make my cpap less intimidating, I quickly knitted up a cover for my cpap hose. I quickly realized that I won't be able to wash it, and it's absolute hell to take on and off. It also really weighs down the hose, to the point that I kept on getting leaks. Would greatly appreciate recommendations on...

Newbie not feeling as overwhelmed as before.

So, sleep study on 4/7/20112 CPAP arrived at home on 4/20 Finally got to meet with my ENT specialist who ordered the sleep study today. RDI of 46 events/hour and an AHI of 43 . Re: Feeling completely overwhelmed

DME guy just left, and he was extremely nice and helpful. Not sure if I got a "brick" or not. It's the Phillips Respironics REMstar Pro C-Flex + Auto IQ. Not as scary and oppressive as what I was expecting. Setting is a 8 and I got a full face mask, which is what I was expecting.

Re: Feeling completely overwhelmed

Thank you everyone. Initially my thinking was that I wanted a machine that would take up as little space as possible(the Fisher & Paykel looked compact and modern). Now I'm quickly discovering that I need to dig considerably deeper than what would look good on my nightstand. Efficacy data is just no...

Feeling completely overwhelmed

The DME provider is showing up at the house on Friday 4/20. All I know is that he is bringing a cpap machine. On 4/7/2012 I had my sleep study and titatration. I don't even know what the results of that were, but obviously something indicated that I needed the machine. My appointment with my ENT spe...
