Re: Difficulty inhaling now, after 4 years on CPAP

Slinky,
I just got back from my DME. They looked at my chart and said my insurance wouldn't pay for another Elite, so that's why I got the Escape. They gave me a VPAP 25 loaner today, until they can locate an Elite for me.

Re: Difficulty inhaling now, after 4 years on CPAP

2 years ago I had an Elite, which I loved because it displayed the data. But, as I was new to the CPAP world, my DME had me purchase an Escape, which I recently found out doesn't display data. I am going to go to the DME tomorrow - thanks.

Difficulty inhaling now, after 4 years on CPAP

I haven't had to post in quite awhile - everything was going well. I want to get some input before I call my DME provider. The past month or so, I have noticed that I have no energy, and yawn alot. It is the same feeling I had before I started my CPAP 4 years ago. I saw my Dr yesterday, told her abo...

Re: Resmed S8 2 1/2 yrs old, need new one already

Thanks everyone! I go Thursday to get my new CPAP, I will call and tell them I want to see my old one. I can't understand why it took 4 weeks to find that out either!

Resmed S8 2 1/2 yrs old, need new one already

I took my S8 in to be repaired last month because I couldn't get it to shut off. Well, after 4 weeks of not hearing anything from my DME, I called today. She said it was "unrepairable, full of dirt and pet hair". I have to get a new CPAP machine now, only after 2 1/2 years. I change the filter month...

CPAP and fluid in ear/ear tube

I am going to an Ear, Nose and Throat Dr next week because I have fluid in my right ear due to a sinus infection. I will probably have to have a tube placed in the eardrum. The fluid has been in for about 2 months, I have been on prescription antihistamines with no help. My question is, will my CPAP...

Sleep walking and OSA?

I was talking with a co-worker today and the subject of sleep walking in children came up. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if sleep walking as a child is related to adult OSA?
Thanks!

Humidifier heating plate bad?

I have had my Resmed S8 elite for about 1 1/2 years. Lately I have noticed that when I set the humidifier control to 1, the heating plate isn't warm, but on the rest of the settings, it is hot. I would like some input as to whether or not anyone knows if it needs to be replaced before I contact my D...

Headgear slipping

I need suggestions as to what to do about my headgear slipping. I am not sure what is happening, but I wake up numerous times because my ComfortClassic nasal mask has moved up, pushing against the bottom of my nose and covering my tear ducts. I am on my third mask and like it - I have the small size...
