Mirage Swift II pillows

What's the expected life of these things? I've got about 4 months on mine and they seem to be leaking more than before.

That Mack's putty trick.

I've studied the thread/photos of the use of Mack's on the Quattro. Have any of you used a similar method on the Ultra Mirage II? Best I can tell, the Quattro method would stop the soft mask part of the Mirage from properly fitting into the hard plastic frame. I sure would like to put the Mirage in ...

I had exactly the same problem with the Elite. That's why I had to go back to the Compact which, unfortunately, is not data capable. There is some variance between machines of the same make and model. I tried 3 Compacts before I got one that was quiet.

Wooo boy! Not sleep terrors...thank goodness! That sounds horrible...more accurately "terrible." I'm on no medications, so I don't know about that. I do think I am in very deep sleep at the time, as The Mrs. indicates I am very difficult to wake up when this happens.

Wondering about centrals.

I've been on treatment, 99% compliant, for almost 4 months now. No longer snore (per wife), feel more energy, more clear headed, so I would say things are working. The wife couldn't take the "different" noise of the data capable machine, hence the Compact. I do, however, continue to have one symptom...

Lungs feel strange

I've been on the hose for 3 months now. 98% compliant. CPAP with pressure of 9. I have recently noticed a "different" feeling in my lungs, especially the upper area. The best way I can describe it is that my lungs feel similar to when I take a decongestant. It's as if the pressure has "opened up" my...

Lungs feel funny.

I have been on the hose for 3 months now. 98% compliant. Lately I have noticed that my lungs feel "funny." The best way I can explain it is that my lungs, especially the "upper lungs" feel similar to the way they feel when I take a decongestant...which I don't do often because I don't like the feeli...

Anyone have any idea what the chemical is that they "swab" the machines with? It seems to leave no residue, but I feel a little skittish breathing any chemical. Hopefully it dissipates quickly.

Well, well, well! My little "noise" thread has morphed into a guitar thread. I like that! Many moons ago "Chet Atkins Workshop" was an album that introduced me to what was possible on the electric guitar. Up until that time I had been listening to, and playing Ventures tunes. Don't get me wrong, The...

I thought I'd update since we have a thread on page 1 re: noise levels. To recap, started with Compact, wanted data capability so tried Vantage. The wife couldn't take the noise of the Vantage...not so much quantity of noise, but the different quality of the noise...following my breathing with diffe...

I think, for The Mrs., it was the *quality* of the noise more than the *quantity.* The Compact seems to be relatively constant, whereas the Vantage seemed to "breathe with me", so to speak. Although all units were quiet, the *vascillation* of the noise was noticable on inspiration/exhalation. She is...

Vantage/Elite/Compact noise side by side (FYI)

I wanted to go from my Resmed Compact to the Vantage for the data capabilities. Unfortunately, the Vantage made noise that the spouse couldn't live with...not so the Compact. It seems to "whistle" or "whirr" when following inspiration/expiration. It's the unit, not the mask. I went to the sleep clin...

Got the thing working...much in your debt, Slinky. Now I find that the Vantage makes a whistling noise and "ramps" up an down with each breath. EPR or whatever it's called, is off. Mask fitting shows "perfect"...it's not the mask whistling, but the fan or motor. This was not present with the Compact...

I think I discovered my problem. The tech gave me the machine in auto mode. I am not ready for the learning curve of auto, and want cpap mode. Anyone know how to change the Vangage from auto to cpap?

This is with no mask or hose attached. I wanted to run it for some time before I started breathing the air...blow off the dust, so to speak. There may be some sort of auto start that I am missing. They gave me no training, so I am floundering on my own.
