Need Help Finding replacement H4i Humidifier?
Tried doing a search but it was either a thousand results or 0 (not very helpful). Anyway, I really need a replacement h4i humidifier for my ResMed S8 Autoset Spirit II. I can find a few fro a Google search for like $245. But I was hoping to find something a bit more affordable. Any tips? Thanks! Ken

Re: Why Am I Hyperventilating on APAP?
Thanks. I"ll try those things. And yes, I sent back to the APAP machine (away from the VPAP Adapt) because my nasal surgery allows me to use my nasal mask now, which was the reason I needed a FF mask (which, for odd reasons would not work for me with APAP, hence, the ASV trial). BTW, I tried JUST tu...

Why Am I Hyperventilating on APAP?
I've been hyperventilating for months on my S9 APAP - showing an average of about 20 breaths per minute once fully asleep, sometimes peaking around 27 or 28 BPM. My waking/resting BPM is only about 12. I definitely use the Expiratory Pressure Relief feature. My sleep doctor doesn't know why this is ...

Re: Any Tips For Using AirFit N10 Nasal Mask?
Thanks! That's great information. I'll try again a few more items with the N10, but if I still don't like it I will return it. I love me some Return Insurance:).
Cheers!

Any Tips For Using AirFit N10 Nasal Mask?
I just got a new nasal mask - the AirFit N10. I tried it for the first time last night and wasn't happy with it, at least not compared to my Eson. The first issue was that even though I fit-tested it and got no leaks (S9 APAP), it seemed to blow cold air into my eyes when put it on to sleep. Then, w...

Re: Thoughts On Untested Theory About Heated Hose?
Thanks everyone! Yes, I know I mouth-breathe. That's the whole reason for the FF mask. My nasal congestion is chronic and sometimes gets so bad that I cannot use a nasal mask. And even when my nasal passages are relatively clear - for me - such that I can use my nasal mask, my jaw still drops open a...

Re: Can You Damage A ClimateLine Hose By Washing It?
Palerider, thanks for that post! I laughed hysterically at that explanation of electricity - very Dave Barry-esqe.
I think the hose is fine. I did some testing yesterday with and without the hose turned on and definitely felt the heat when it was on.
Thanks again for all the replies!

Can You Damage A ClimateLine Hose By Washing It?
I've been wondering if my climateLine hose is even working anymore. I can't seem to feel any heat from it. I don't even remember if I'm supposed to be able to. I have washed it the same way I've always washed hoses, which is to say that the ends do get wet. But since there are metal sensors there, c...

Re: Thoughts On Untested Theory About Heated Hose?
What about shifting the burden of heat to the room thermostat, i.e. keeping it a bit higher if it's set to 'cold', and not have to keep the hose so warm that it dries you out? My wife and I have a pretty narrow range of what we both find comfortable enough to sleep, so any movement of the room temp...

Thoughts On Untested Theory About Heated Hose?
Can I get opinions about a theory I have? Is it possible that having the heated hose temperature too high can cause dry-mouth? I have been having trouble with dry-mouth when using my full face mask with my S9 VPAP Adapt. I tried turning both the hose temperature on the ClimateLine and the humidity t...

My Experience With the F10 FF Mask
Hey Everyone, I said I'd post the results of my experiments with various FF masks. To date, nothing has worked for me. Leaks have been the main issue. But my last experiment was the Resmed AirFit F10, and it WORKS! I had to do quite a bit of experimenting. One thing I discovered is that ASV just isn...

Thanks everyone. Pugsy, my graph looks almost exactly like yours!
I sent the info to my sleep doc and will await her response. I'll let you all know what she says.
Thanks again.

Respiratory Rate?
I know this was asked in the past, but I am just looking for a quick, recent, sanity check on my respiratory rate as reported by Sleepy Head. Last night it reported a min of 9.20 BPM and a max of 20.6, with the median being 19.20. From what I've read, this is quite high. Over the past year, my avera...

Re: Initial Feedback on AirFit F10 FF Mask
My update from the 2nd night using the F10 - using it with APAP, since the ASV seemed to really be so active (large swings in pressure in very short periods of time), that it distracted me too much to actually fall asleep), I'm seeing if my APAP, which when used with my nasal mask, is the perfect PA...
