Hi Xavia

My answer is yes. I have been grinding my teeth for the first time in my life, that I am aware of. I cracked a molar in fact. At least the pain made me aware of what I was doing and I have stopped now (for good I hope).

Good luck

From DownUnder Doug's comments seem very reasonable to me. In Australia (not sure about all States) CPAP is considered as "life support" and is eligible for a small rebate on electricity costs plus priority attention in the case of power failure. I suffer from very severe apnea and have avoided out-...

Mike I don't understand! Why did you have to seal all the house? I would have thought that this would create more 'rain-out' without some sort of exhaust vent. Could you have put the turbo-tub at the top of the stairs under the fan, but heated the walls and ceiling of your daughters room. Perhaps a ...

Hi Jan
Quite an achievement! I was wondering if you might have a nasal mask that he could try as the Swift takes a few days to get used to. He may complain of a sore nose or take it off during the night as others have done. It's great that you have got him trying it out, congratulations!

Amy IF you decide on the Swift, Lori has posted photos of an alternate way to fit the hose so that it is completely away from your face (it seems more inclined to ride up the back of my head but the added comfort is worth the inconvenience). I seldom get the strap marks on my face but I wear it very...

Hi Bruce
I think you can do it via your computer, once you load the software and plug in your machine. I'm sure I saw an option to change the pressure setting.
Good Luck

Every morning I throw the direct contact part of my mask or nasal pillow in a little netting (lingerie) bag and rinse the whole thing (bag and all) with water (no chemicals) and hang the bag up to dry on one of those little peg carousels. Must be easy because often I don't even remember doing it. On...

Doug I assume the doc' checked for low blood pressure. I feel for you. Chronic vertigo is most unpleasant. I would still recommend trying a cleansing diet of raw fruit & vegetables for 2-3 days with lots of water, sunlight and fresh air to clear out any congestion. You should feel great afterwards a...

MA2U Reading your post brought me great pleasure, thanks for making me smile before I head off to bed. Take control of your life with gusto and don't let minor problems get in your way. Now that you're getting plenty of real sleep and getting out in the sunlight you may find that your allergies star...

Forgot to mention that I use the Sleepzone Heated Hose with a passover (unheated) humidifier. Hasn't reactivated my Meniere's condition/vertigo since starting CPAP in July. Rain-out was very unpleasant 'though before I started using the heated hose.

Doug If you have been having vertigo since January I would check on the possibility of MENIERE'S DISEASE. Sounds worse than it is. Simply put, it is a build-up of fluid creating pressure on the ear-drum, causing dizziness. Years ago, in the rural area where I was living, a number of people (includin...

Hi everyone! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. We had a cold snap from the South Pole but back to our lovely Spring weather for the weekend. 2lb down (don't even want to think of how many to go). I've set a mini-goal of ten lb. Still not into the exercise routine yet but I am going to start in a fe...
