Linda, Just below this message are two small boxes, profile and PM me, the PM stands for private message. Actually you can get my email from my profile I believe. I'll try to PM you too. I believe you check them by clicking the box at the top right corner beside where you click to log out. Talk to y...

Linda This is very kind of you to step up and be willing do gather, organize and store all of this material. I certainly appreciate it very much. Perhaps we can talk to the moderators, let them know what we are wanting to do and see if they would permit a thread on this forum asking people to contri...

Thanks guys for the love. I am originally from Kentucky. Honestly, I describe myself as a conservative Democrat. I am a Christian so I am conservative, and I know what it is like to work hard, spend wisely and still not have enough to get by on, so I can't say I relate to Republicans well. As for me...

Linda, It certainly is NOT a dumb question. While it is my understanding that filtered air is normally used as a invisable, non solid wedge to open and hold open your air way to keep it from relaxing and cutting of air. To do that, technically any gas would work to hold the air way open. Of course i...

Actually, the funny thing is they woudn't have to change the rules at all. It would always be the tired, irritable, cranky, self centered ones that get voted off first. And it would be the ones who practiced good sleep habits that were well rested, energetic, clear thinking, thoughtful and kind ones...

Linda, Actually I am one of the lucky ones. While I am definitely a hosehead, I feel fortunate that I do wear a ful face mask and the hose just dangles from a swival off the front of my mask, right in front of my mouth. On most of the nasal mask (no offense guys), it goes up from your nose over the ...

I can certainly second that Steve. I think the absolute worst symptom of this disorder has been my irritibility. When you struggling just to stay awake it is very hard to keep a smile on your face and have everything sound just right when you say it. It is the worst, so I can't agree more. The mask ...

Hi Linda, Actually my wife is very supportive of the CPAP. To be honest though, I was very worried about it beforehand. She and I had normally gone to sleep when we were completely exhausted and actually "passed out in bed". She has never been one to make love at night, when she goes to bed it is to...

Linda, It's funny that you ask because in my sleep study they did discover that in me, there was a difference in sleep position. I would imagine it may be different for everyone, but in me I sleep horrible on my right side. The results all showed dramatically less quality sleep on that side. After t...

Linda, I can apprecaite you apprehension but believe me, it is a real medical condition. Actually there are several conditions that are considered very real and well known conditions that stem directly from sleep apnea. It does also seem overwhelming I am sure to come on here and here of all the pro...

Ted, Thanks for the words of wisdom. I will try to adhear to them. It is morning now after my first night on CPAP with the full face mask. It actually went pretty well. I left the mask on all night and I awoke about 2 hours before normal and thought it was normal time. Not 12 hours mind you. For the...

Steve, Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I did go to my children a few years ago and apologize to them and yes, they did forgive me. Kids are so awesome that way. I think the trouble is that the person that is always the hardest for you to forgive is your self. Maybe that is the problem....

Hi T, I am also from Kentucky, I see that you are in Frankfort. I grew up (until I was 34) around Elizabethtown, KY. For the past 5 years, I have been in London, Ontario, Canada with my CDN wife. Great to meet you. On the subject though, I wonder if there is hope for me. I have been extremely sleepy...
