On oxygen, want "JD" Invacare Homefill Cylinders
Apria has been my provider since 2003. I've used Invacare Homefill oxygen cylinders while making rounds for 8 years. Got laid off cause new Security Manager didn't like that I was on oxygen full-time. So, I want Apria to swap 4 little bitty Homefill cylinders for a "JD", (M-22), size cylinder w/Inva...

Re: Melatonin
I don't take it anymore, can't tell any difference in my getting/going back to sleep. Wifey eats it by the hand full. Claims she needs it to sleep. I suggested she discuss this with her PCP, but she won't. After 48 years of "Marital Bliss", whatcha gonna do?

Re: Using a hose cover on a heated hose.
I feed humidified oxygen into the heated hose connector w/hose covered with what I call the sock. No overheating problems I'm aware of. ResMed will probably void my warranty for breaking their law.

Re: New kid, concentrator question
I've been on oxygen for about five years. I can attest there's nothing neat about it. Biggest pain in the patoot I've had. I rent a ten liter unit from Apria for use when I'm more active. I purchased a used 5 liter unit for use while sleeping. It's a lot quieter and it's in the room where I sleep. I...

Re: Mouth closure
I have been a mouth breather most my life. Usual solution is a regular FFM. I happened upon a Hybrid FFM. Have had pretty good luck with this mask. Has nasal pillows and a much smaller mouth area to seal. Also, has a chin flap, so no chin strap is required. Might want to take a look at it. Link in m...

Hi Jake00,
Have pretty good luck using Hybrid FFM. Has nasal pillows & small area mouth seal. Also, has a chin flap, so no chin strap required. Click on link in my equip listing. Hope you find what works for you.

Re: Mouthbreathing now???
Janknits,
Have you looked at the Innomed Hybrid FFM? For a FFM it's quite small. Has a much smaller mouth area to seal, and kit comes w/all 3 sizes nose pillows & cushions. I've been a mouth breather forever. Was quite pleased to find this solution.

Re: Mouth Guards for Mouth Leaks/Breathing Question
I use an custom made upper mouthpiece to keep my few remaining lower teeth from irritating my upper gum. Only way I can accommodate mouth breathing is to use a FFM.

I don't know how you were able to post at all without registering first. Most forums I've seen are that way.

Re: Medicare reimbursement for direct purchase of CPAP
My PCP submitted Script, (w/my 2003 sleep study), for New APAP to my insurance. I received a letter saying I was approved. Letter was from Apria, stating no co-pay. A month latter I get a bill from Apria for $1700. I called my insurance, they said the bill hadn't been presented to them for payment. ...
