Re:
[quote="birdshell"] Wow, someone actually revived this thread! May I point out that you quickly awoke when you could not breathe, and I hope that you had the corner of your mouth tape turned over on itself such that there was a fingerhold for fast removal. This actually SUPPORTS the idea that one wh...

Re: Results for last night using Encore Viewer
What do you mean? Could you be more descriptive? Are you trying to read data from your card? Are you having the problem with the M Series dropping detailed data? Den I am trying to read from the card and get report. I do think the M Series does drop some things or it seems maybe it does. As I under...

Results for last night using Encore Viewer
I'd like to see what last night was like according to the reports but each time I have tried to get the results from last nights sleep I have to wait until tomorrow. Is that normal for the rest of you?
Thanks,
Regie

If reformatting doesn't fix it, some have had luck using a clean pencil eraser on the contacts, or possibly alcohol. That pencil eraser technique is good IMO as long as you get rid of the left over pieces of the eraser and maybe keep your fingers off the contacts after you finish. Now, I don't know...

Wine?
I've tried Gas-X. It didn't help. It's not what I eat that is causing the gas, it's the cpap pressure. It sounds like my suggestion will be worthless but I had an attack of gas once that nothing did any good until I swallowed 2 or 3 or maybe 4 ounces of red wine. You might be like me - need to eat ...

When can I get data from last nights rest?
I download daily as well, just because my "inquiring mind wants to know." http://216.247.204.179/peo-doctor_x-ray.gif I do too. I have Encore Viewer and when I try to get data for the night just finished I don't get anything or if I get anything at all it is for the first part of the night until I ...

Re: Would/Could A Cough Be Reported As An Apnea ??
Just curious. Would or could a cough be mistaken for an apnea and reported as such by a Resmed or Respironics? Or could or would they be reported as a hypopnea? I'd think a cough would be more likely to be reported as a "snore" if noticed at all. Doesn't an event have to be for 10 seconds or more f...

You can set up a free account in photobucket.com and then a link to photobucket. m Mindy, Someone expressed concern over making reports like this available on the internet - to the effect that people might use it wrong or something to that effect. I can't see how anyone could use this type informat...

The big answer is this - the A-flex machine is designed to keep you from having periods of non-breathing by overcoming your apnea episodes AND reporting those events that you do have. By "events that you do have" do you mean that I actually did quit breathing those times or are these the number tha...

NR apneas might very well be "centrals"; the machine tried to respond by going up 3 units and that didn't clear the apnea. What kind of range are you using? Jules, My range is 5 to 20. This brings up another question though. Since the automatic function is for the purpose of giving the pressure req...

APAP & Obstructive Apnea, Hypopnea, Non-Responsive Apnea
Hello, My Obstructive Apnea and Hypopnea columns shown by the Encore Pro software vary at various pressure settings. However, my Non-Responsive Apnea/Hypopnea shows continual 0.0 readings at all pressures. Say, at a pressure of 8 my Obstructive Apnea shows 4.3 but my Non-Responsive shows 0.0. Does t...

Is it possible it won't adjust down? Tossin, I can hit the ramp button or turn it off and then back on, but that is the only way I am finding out that will do it. With the idea that it does not adjust well when I'm awake, I suppose that if I am asleep and the pressure goes up that it can go down if...
