Upgrade from EncorePro 1.4i to 1.6 ... More $$$ ???

I haven't been on the site for a while, but I purchased EncorePro from CPAP.com about a year ago and have used it along with MyEncore and my Remstar Auto with much success. Anyway... I know that the 1.4i and 1.5 versions don't read from the M series and it looks like I might be getting a new M serie...

I wonder if an ultrafine particle filter would help. I think humidity and moisture is one piece, but irritation is definitely also a factor with CPAP.

I, too, was concerned about being able to give up ambien after 3 months of continuous use. But it wasn't as hard as I thought. I just weaned myself off it gradually and was eventually able to sleep without it again. Use common sense and talk with your doctor if you need to. I think it's great to hav...

IMHO the BEST plan: Bug your doctor for a stack of free samples, and only take a pill when you absolutely need it!

Aura pillow size question....

Does the Medium Swift pillow roughly translate to the same size Aura pillow, or are they totally different?

Many people, myself included, have had to take Rx sleep meds like ambien during the transition period in order to get used to wearing a mask. Ambien has a real "knockout" punch, so you really don't have much time to fret about the mask. At least that's been my experience.

Well, mine did pretty much what I was hoping it would do...It seems to have cleared itself up and I am back on track with my downloads again... I just have to chalk it up to a glitch between switching modes, machines, starting with a new smartcard. I was a little concerned, though, because my AHI wa...

Encore Pro hours not recorded last night..

Well, the good news is that I'm back from my CPAP hiatus!! As of Thursday night I'm back on the hose with my new Remstar Auto.. The first night I left it set to the range my doctor suggested, 8 - 10 cm. I tore the mask off after 3 hours and when I checked my data my 90% pressure was 9.6 cm. Since 9....

It's funny... The Swift has never irritated my face or head too much, other than maybe a small swoosh impression when i first get up. But I usually wear the thing pretty loose. What bugs the $&^#*@! out of me, though, are my glasses if I wear them through the day. They leave a little line of red irr...

BCBS Prior-approval for out-of-pocket...worth the trouble???

Well, I'm done with the CPAP trial.... I went to the doctor yesterday and told him I'm ready to buy a Remstar Auto out-of-pocket and he said, "yeah, that's a great idea" and wrote me the script... So that's what I'm going to do, but if there's a good chance that BCBS will either partially reimburse ...

Hi Suzy -- I've been at it for 3 months and I'm still debating whether I feel better, or worse!!! It definitely takes time and a lot of tweaking to adjust. Being compliant and keeping your mask on at night is half the battle, so perhaps the doctor would agree that an auto would deliver a more effect...
