Acceptable central apneas?

Hi all,

Just started monitoring my cpap therapy. I get the AHI, but was wondering if there is an acceptable range of central apneas? I've gotten from 2 to 7 and one night 18. Also, I'm using a system one bipap with the dreammapper app.

Thanks,
RM

Lot of Masks for Sale

In my quest to find the perfect mask, I have accumulated some masks that have been lightly used, some for less than 4hrs. These masks are in great shape... just not the masks for me. I have: 1. Breeze Sleepgear Assembly, used with large pillows, the S, M, and XL pillows are new, have never been used...

Swallowing and ear pressure/plugging

Hi all, Was wondering if anyone out there has experienced this, or if there is any solutions or suggestions for help. Upon going to sleep with my Bipap, everything is fine until I need to swallow, and when I do, my ears plug up. The only way to get my ears unplugged is to disconnect my mask from the...

need help: devilbiss RPM rounding feature

Hi,
My devilbiss RPM bipap has a rounding feature similar to biflex... the trouble is I can't get into my machine to turn it on, and my DME wants me to come in to do it. Does anyone out there know how to do this?

Thanks,
RM

Hello all, I was recently switched to a devillbis bipap RPM and a fisher-paykel heated humidifer.... pressure at 14/10. I used to use a polaris CPAP w/heat... no problems with rainout ever. The problem I'm having is every night I am getting terrible rainout!!! The humidifer is set at its lowest sett...

Hi all, When talking about machines.... I know that alot of people recommend the autopap, because of its versatile ability to deliver only the pressure req. This is good if you typically spend most of your sleep in the lower end of settings, say maybe 6-10, and only ramp up ocassionally to control b...

Sleepless, I did try the moleskin and it did help. By the way I use the ultra mirage nasal mask, not a full face mask. I use a chin strap also to battle mouth breathing. I also feel that for the price of these masks and given that there are so many to choose from, us as patients should not have to a...

hey fatigue fighter....
Speaking of fire fighters... you usually see them going into the fire with the O2 tanks etc.... I wonder which full face mask they use and more importantly does it leak???? (smile)

sleepless, Thanks for the nice reply... I will try the moleskin tonight. I did try the breeze w/o the soft-ex, but for me the pressure was still too high to exhale against... the air seems more dispersed with the ultra mirage nasal mask that I use. I wish that I could use the breeze since it is (for...

Well last night I used my nasal mask w/o the soft-ex.... WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! I was able to exhale soooo much easier!!. I can't believe that for 3mos I have been struggling with this. I would have never thought for a minute to turn off the soft-ex.... since afterall it is supposed to help me exhale, ...
