Re: Share your OSA story with nurse researchers
I am sure I'm the culprit with the slow responses to the wrist thing. I wish I could participate more on this board in general. I always enjoyed sharing my experience and learning from the others. the study is a huge way for me to give back and try and make things better for all of us. I probably wo...

Re: Share your OSA story with nurse researchers
Bev, please read my posts above as to why it is taking a little time to reply. I have a broken wrist so my typing is a little impaired at the moment. We also had a good response (though still want to hear from more of you!). We are catching up, slowly but surely. I appreciate everyone's patience. Be...

Re: Share your OSA story with nurse researchers
I was so intent on posting an explanation for my delay in responding that I neglected to mention all of you who said Hi! as you can see by this thread the study is still in progress and I got some incredible information that I know will make a huge difference in how healthcare providers work with pe...

About this study
I want to thank the many people who have replied to our posting regarding their experiences with OSA. I am Beth Rodgers, and just wanted to share with you why there might be a delay in my responding to e-mails sent to me. I believe that Connee is responding to people very quickly. Several of you rep...

Everyone has something to contribute!
If you have OSA, or even think you have OSA, you have something to contribute! We all deal with this experience in different ways. I am interested in communicating with as many people as possible regarding what things have been like for you in managing your apnea or other sleep disordered breathing ...

Hi, BP - I hope you're pleased with your purchase. Before I got mine, I heard from several trustworthy individuals that they run their cpap constantly through the Xantrex with no problem. I have not been doing that, since 1) it took more room for the setup, 2) didn't seem necessary, 3) company said ...

Wow, do you need anyone else to chime in on this? I agree with all the posts about all night, every night, and day time for naps, too! One of the dangers of OSA is that people can be asymptomatic, meaning feel ok, but still be doing considerable damage to their bodies, especially the heart and vascu...

Add my score of "10"
Hello, everyone - I've given my cotton padacheeks a thorough test for the past week and agree with the "10" (out of 10) score. At first I thought they'd never compare to the soft fleece ones that have been my salvation since I started with all this CPAP stuff. I couldn't imagine that anything could ...

That's fascinating, Snork, about the glycerin. I will commence reading the labels on all lotions and soaps immediately. As for traveling, I also frequently travel with a bunch of camera equipment. I pack the cpap in my carryon and carry the camera equipment separately. The fragility has been rather ...

The Activa didn't work for me. Too bulky, heavy, protruding, wouldn't stay put, and it felt like I had a squid pulling at my face when the seal would inflate. too much pressure on upper lip, also, which made my teeth hurt. Obviously YMMV, but since the question was about who didn't like the Activa, ...

Ditto what they said on the mask! I'd pay quite a bit also for something guaranteed to be comfortable and to work, which means also that it isn't a monthly replacement deal but has some longevity. A good mask is worth a lot! Ditto, also, to RG getting to try it first! She'd be a great reviewer for u...

jcarn, congrats on your choice of the 420E! I'm sure others have better ideas about the DME deal, but personally, here's what I'd do, or did, rather, in the same situation. The best way to save money is to get the 420E online. If the 234 is paid for already, likely your insurance won't help you out ...
