Re: Apria in Olympia, WA

I haven't dealt with the Olympia/Tumwater branch but if they are anything like the Tacoma/Fife branch, you should be fine. If you have any questions about equipment or masks, do some homework in this forum first.

Re: First Business Trip with CPAP

Definitely take it with you. I've been on CPAP since January and have taken my CPAP to Florida, the Caribbean, Toronto and Australia. Absolutely no problems at all, it just takes longer to go through Security with several bins (one for the CPAP, one for the laptop, one for shoes, belt, cell phone, e...

OptiLife Users Question

The "Tube Management Clip" for my Optilife fell apart this past weekend and haven't had any luck finding a replacement. I looked for a part number in the Instructions for Use and couldn't find one, so I called Repironics and got the part number (1039967) and was told they don't sell to the public, c...

Fredman - better yet, can you imagine passing a CPAP cruise at night and seeing the ship lit up with all the blue lights emanating from every room? Cathy - If the distilled water isn't in the room I probably won't mention it either - I don't use the humidifer regularily anyway. I was just impressed ...

Pleasant surprise from Royal Caribbean

I am going on a cruise next month and was prompted to send Royal Caribbean an email requesting an extension cord in my room based on a previous post I read. I did not request or even mention distilled water as I planned to use bottled water, if needed, as I noted others have done. I just received a ...

I flew from Seattle to Orlando and back last week. Didn't notice any signs, but have read postings here indicating that the TSA expects that the CPAP be removed from it's case. They did the residue test in Seattle but not in Orlando. This was the first time I've had to travel with the CPAP and am gl...

Like others, I owe my wife. After years of telling me that my snoring wasn't normal and that I was gasping, I asked my Dr who immediately agreed to set up the sleep study. It's kind of ironic that my Dr never suggested the sleep study, as I now know we were treating symptons of OSA, such as excessiv...

RipVW and Brenda,

Thanks for the guidance. I'm pretty certain it's not allergies as I haven't had allergies in the past - I'm fairly confident it's CPAP related. I will try the passive humidification and will defintely look into padacheeks.

Thanks again,
Art

3 Months and Counting

As of last night I have completed three months on CPAP therapy. Although I have been 100% compliant since the beginning, the first week was a little rough as I started with a Comfortgel mask and developed a nasty little sore across the bridge of my nose. I switched to the OptiLife and haven't used t...

Thank you! I asked the sleep Doc about getting the software/reader and she didn't support that thought. I believe I've read here that you don't need a perscription to buy the software, correct? In the meantime, it's good to know I have some time before the smart card runs into capacity issues.
