I've been on apap for about a year now and it has yet to cure all of my symtoms. But I can say the biggest difference has been an increased sex drive, my poor wife aint getting any rest so stick with it there's hope yet (and lots of fun too)

Increased AHI with increased pressure debate
Like many of you posting on this site I have noticed that encore reports a significant increase in AHI at the top end of my pressure range. When running a range of 8-12 my highest AHI scores were always at 12. This got me to thinking the cause was pressure induced events as has been suggested here o...

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately it looks as though i've been running without filters for over six months. They were not supplied with the machine and there is no filter cover either. I'm hoping this has not been TOO bad for my health. I'm contacting the sleep clinic that supplied me today but ...

Clean filters
I've had my apap for about six months and its starting to get noisy so I decided to clean the filters but there is no filter box on the back and it looks like the filter must be built inside the machine. I have a Respironics REMstar auto the model without the Cflex. Is this right? Can Anyone offer a...

Thanks Great Advice
Thanks for the advice guys, I set my machine at two over and two under the 90% pressure like suggested. Anyway my AHI reading went down to 2.6, and the flow Limitation Index plummeted to 0.3 (Think thats good?). However my average Apnea duration soared to over 60 secs (don't think that is good) and ...

Ozij, I didn't get titrated just had the sleep study which had an AHI of around 40 then was put straight onto autopap, that was about six months ago, but I'm going to have to try and get these figures down sensibly myself as the original treatment cost me the equivalent of $4000 US and funds a bit l...
