Does anyone out there use the "small" headgear for the Activa LT that wouldn't mind measuring the length of the 2 straps & letting me know what they are? I need to replace mine and I'm thinking I'd like to try the smaller size, but would like to compare the difference first.
Thanks
Lyn

Made my yearly 2 week trip to Las Vegas to visit my brother in May. Flying out of Omaha, I know they opened the CPAP bag, but I couldn't tell you if they swabbed it because they were done with it & handing it back to me by the time I got my laptop back in it's bag & my shoes slipped back on my feet....

Re: Can't Sleep in same room as Hubby
I have had sleep apnea for over 4 years and the first machine I had I took to it like a duck. Got use to both machine and mask in one night but after 3 years my machine started to get loud and keep my hubby up at night so last June I got a new machine that is super quiet but he still complains. He ...

When I started CPAP just over a year ago, my AHI was 15 & the Dr said I only needed a pressure of 4. When that didn't work he increased the pressure to 6. (The DME had set me up with a Resmed S7 CPAP). After about a month of being 100% compliant & not feeling a whole lot better & a sleep Dr that nev...

Geez this is old stuff indeed. I knew from the start that my CPAP machine would be of interest. As a frequent business flyer I've come to understand how to make things work quickly and efficiently. I approach the line. As soon as I see a TSA agent near the entry of the Xray machine I get their atte...

It sounds like both your sleep doc and DME are worthless. Have your records sent to your local physician and then fire both the sleep doc and DME after you get your prescription. To get an APAP from CPAP.com, you only need a CPAP prescription. If your records are safe with a trusted personal physic...

You shouldn't have to pay a bribe to your DME to get the machine prescribed by your doctor. That is just down right ridiculous. That is exactly why I dumped my DME and had my wife get her prescription from the doctor so that she could go else where to get her Auto. I agree. But it was one of those ...

So essentially there is nothing I can do? Is that what all of you are saying? I can only get a cpap even though my doctor prescribed an apap? Is there a way that I can get an apap and pay the difference in price between the cpap and apap? Please be patient with me as I have ZERO experience with ins...

Re: Antibacterial?
I remove the headgear clips fill up a bathroom sink with very HOT water, squirt in some Dawn Anti-bacterial liquid hand soap and give the mask the ole agitation action, rinse, wipe with a towel reattach the headgear and put it on. My two RT's and several posters have warned about using soaps/deterg...

I agree with you mikem. I also just pull mine away from my face a tad and re-set it. Works great! Another suggestion - wash your face nightly! I use cetaphil and forgot last night! Leaked all night long - it's getting hot here in the south! Sleepyred I agree with both comments! Especially the one a...

It does not take much to realize that if you are being paid $700.00 and your machine costs you $800.00, that you are going to lose out. Now, before anyone goes leaping to quote prices, it also has to be understood a provider can NOT provide a $600.00 machine at a $700.00 reimbursement level and mak...
