I went to a website that told how much you should weigh for your height and it said I should weigh 173 I guess were all supposed to be just skin and bones. There is NO way I could get down to the weights on those charts. I'm pretty muscular/husky/big-boned/whatever. Even when I was "skinny" in high...

First impressions: Everest Aura
I've given up on this one. Leaks too much and too noisy exhaust port. The only way I found to keep it from leaking (at least while I was falling asleep) was to actually hold it with my hand or bury my face partially into the pillow. If the tube that goes from top of head to the nostrils is bent inwa...

Times like this make me glad I have good insurance... Believe me, you're paying for it one way or another. If you don't pay anything, your employer is overpaying for every employee and that money could instead be paying you a higher salary or used to give more people jobs or go towards research and...

I'm so angry, we're being ripped off
I ordered the wrong tube from cpap.com so I tried to find a place locally, I couldn't wait any longer to get back on therapy. The tube that costs $10 on cpap.com they wanted to charge me $55!!! I just couldn't believe my ears, and that's the SELF PAY price. So what do they charge the insurance compa...

Mask - help me decide please
I keep reading all these homemade fixes for some masks. I'm not McGeiver(?) so I really just want something that's going to just work (is that so wrong?). Based on everything I've read so far, I'm considering the ComfortLite2, Aura Swift and Breeze. My last mask was a profile lite gelmask. The Comfo...

Re: Adventures in mouth taping...
[quote="surfingwoman"]I read the great instructions here the other day on mouth taping, and decided to try it out last night. I taped my mouth with medical tape, and despite the moisturizers I put in, the tape held really well. In the middle of the night, I woke up and my mouth was filled with air. ...

I ordered this device months ago because I was mouth breathing very badly even with chinstrap. The worst part of it was the mold because I gag very easily and couldn't even put it all the back like I was supposed to. I got with Dr. Sue, sent him some pictures of the resulting mold and he said it wou...

Why would anyone take the trouble to point to a warning letter from 2001 on a device that was OKed in 2002? http://www.fda.gov/cdrh/pdf/k013687.pdf - go to page 5 -6 O. It was just an FYI, ouija, if you look at the subject. I didn't find any further info on it but apparently you did. I didn't offer...

Rent battery pack for CPAP?
I would like to have a battery pack for my cpap to use on the plane for a very long flight. I don't want to pay $250 for one just to use it once. Anyone know where I could rent one?
