You can check the size of the gel pad..its stamped on the pad. You may be able to get a smaller gel pad from the DME to try and also get Medium pillows to try for the Opus.

Don't panic..the APAP is easy to use and to change settings on. I am working on my third weak of starting CPAP. MY DME just handed me the unit without saying anything..but neither did I ask any questions as it sounded fairly easy from reading posts on this site..and it is easy. Basically the M-serie...

Have been doing cpap for 2 weeks. I am deep into the mask and leak wars and expect I will be for some time. I turned off AFLEX after 1 day as we were not compatible dance partners. I turned CFLEX off after a week..we remain friends but I can do fine on my own. I was titrated at 9 and my "before" AHI...

Anybody ever trim a Comfortgel?
Trying to get my comfortgel to fit better. The gel pad angles out on the sides but my face doesn't angle in! It indents into my face almost a 1/4 of an inch. So..wondering if you can trim the gel part or would this cause the gel to start escaping? Would the boil and fit allow this much of an adjustm...

I checked out the question about not charging more than the medicare reimbursed amount and it depends whether they are a "participating supplier" or not. This is from the medicare website: "What is “assignment” in the Original Medicare Plan and why is it important? Assignment is an agreement between...

When I got get drugs at a pharmacy, they keep my prescription. They don't hand it back to me. I understand them keeping your prescription for drugs as you are dealing with controlled substances. I haven't figured why cpap equipment requires prescripions other than to convince the insurance companie...

Keep original copies of prescriptions?
Talking with a DME about equipment. They have already stretched their credibility by stating that there is a out of pocket cost to the customer of $300 for an APAP vs a CPAP since Medicare only pays for a CPAP and the $300 represents their *cost* difference. Hmm..interesting since on the internet th...

This is confusing to me as I would think if you were feeling "dry" you would increase the humidifier level thus increasing the humidity content. The heated hose keeps the outter part of the hose warmed above the condensation point of the humid air passing through. Lowering the voltage to the hose lo...

Haven't gotten my M-series yet so haven't had to experience the blue lights. I did have a similar issue with a surge suppressor I installed in the RV. It had a bright red LED read out that flashed between voltage in, current draw, and suppressor status. This looked cool during the day but discovered...

Two nights ago my smoke alarm went off for no reason. I'm amazed at how quickly I responded and how rationally. Years ago some co-workers were traveling on business. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, emptying out the hotel until things could be checked out. Next morning the one as...
