Nasal Aire II question about subjective airflow sensation

First I must say that the company that makes the Nasal Aire II has the best customer service I have ever encountered, bar none. I had bought the sizing star and then thought the resulting purchase was too big. They sent a size smaller which leaked, so I guess I have the right size after all. Anyway,...

Something that I've found to work remarkably well is a retractable key reel. It's the kind of key ring that you see janitors and supers wear. I've got the reel end attached to my headboard and the key end attached to my hose with a velcro strap. Ain't dyslexia wunnerful? Three times I read that as ...

Nasal Aire II questions on fitting

I bought the sizing star for the Nasal Aire II and it arrived without instructions. I watched all of the movies... no instructions. I did a search and didn’t find any instructions. Perhaps I just missed them. I finally decided to use ‘fits in my nose with a little effort and passes no air when I try...

Assorted venting, heated hose, nasal aire II

Accommodating to CPAP is such a pain in the rear. It seems like everything is one step forward, 7/8 step backwards. A couple of cases in point... We bought two heated hoses from Down Under. Very fast shipping, very nice customer service. Warm air was initially a bit unpleasant but my wife and I acc...

The order portion is SSL secured. The reason you cannot tell is because it opens the order window in a frame. The main page that contains the frame is plain old HTTP so there is no padlock in the corner. If you were to break out of the frame you would see the padlock- https://secure.contact.com.au/...

sleepzone site nonsecure?

Both IE and Firefox show the SleepZone site for the heated hose as non secure for ordering, despite the spiffy thawte seal. While I'm sure they are wonderfully honest folk, all of the servers between me and them?... that is another thing all together. I likes me little padlocks, I does. Does anyone ...

But the tube won't breathe and dry out. Mold and mildew are bad for you....

tubing and mask bug stories (shudder)

I've been reading these tales recently and being a good southern boy who understands that it isn't IF but WHEN a critter will make its way where you don't want it (unless you live in the antarctic, maybe) my wife and I came up with BugPlugs (TM). Go to Lowes or wherever they sell plumbing fixtures a...

Remstar Pro-2 CPAP w/cflex E-Manual request

You know, I can already adjust this thing to some degree, but I want to understand it more fully... both my wife and I use one with HH. Could someone send us a technician's manual for this critter?

Thanks!

Hmmm time to head to home depot and put my plastic tarp and duct tape skills to good use. How does the Ultra Slumber Dream Repose Roominator Full Room Mask sound as a product name? You know sometimes I'm just glad they haven't found another orifice to deliver this therapy with. LOL Don't say that. ...

I have solved the respironics riddle. I can access the data directly from the card without the Encore program even installed on the computer. I have sent you a few emails to discuss maybe putting our heads together, but I can easily write my own version of MyEncore and not rely on the SQL database ...

Encore install problems.

Well, I'm embarrassed. I've basically gone nowhere with this install. I'm installing on winxp home. I've tried installing .net 2.0 and sqlexpress but I'm clearly in over my head. I take really basic directions well. I've read the archives here on and TAS to no avail because I don't really grasp the ...

Re: Occupation and has cpap helped or hurt your career?

I'm a forensic psychologist doing court ordered evaluations... mostly various competency evals or sanity at the time of the alleged offense. It requires a great deal of record review and report writing which were harder pre-cpap. Also, bad idea to be drowsy when interviewing some of the potentially ...
