Head cold

When I was at the health food store I picked up some Eucalyptus Essential oil. I have been putting it on a cotton ball (3-4 drops) and just put it in a shallow bowl under the intake of my machine. It works really well. Also have some Lavander and do the same thing. Nothing in the machine and I didn'...

I went to the Health Food store (small, locally owned) and found a liquid baby soap. It works great. I think it is Dr Bonners. I have found them to be very helpful.

Thanks for all of the great ideas. It does help to know that I am not the only one. I do take Claratin (Generic- OTC) for undiagnosed allegies. Until recently it seemed to help my post nasal drip (the only symptom) I do cough during the day. I also am on a med (generic- can't remember the name) for ...

Mid-night coughing attacks

For the 3rd night in a row I have woke up with terrible coughing attacks. The is a "tickle" that has bee developing at the back of my throat, where it feels like the air hits. Once I start coughing and wake up I have had a hard time stopping then the whole cycle repeats. I have raised the humidity t...

Could something be wrong with your machine? I have only had mine for 1 month but my husband is amazed at how quiet it is. Now granted we are used to an air purifier in the room so it is just like white noise. Last week when I was sharing a hotel room with my sister- she made a comment about how quie...

Name your xpap?

Has any one else named their machine? I have always named my cars and now I'm sleeping the this little guy (a much more intimate relationship). The name "Snuffy" seems to have caught on. I really would have preferred "George Clooney" to sleep with every night!!

I've also been experiencing a sore nose. Often I have woke up to my mask being totally dislodged. I'm starting to wonder if I have the right mask. Last week I woke up in the middle of the night with the hose totally wrapped around my neck! That was a little frightening.

Nightime Mask removal

The last 2 nights I have been guilty of "Sleep de-masking". I thought that I was adjusting fairly well (I started treatment on Dec 24,07) Used it every night, tolerated the mask, think that I am doing well-- Then I wake up with my mask on the floor and I am all smushed down with my face in the pillo...
