Re: Resumed AirMini and HumidX humidity exchange

I posted this statement a few days ago “I put several drops of distilled water in the HimidXPlus cartridge and will give a report on how it goes.” It didn’t go well. I woke up three hours later with extremely dry nose and nasal passages. I can’t figure out why I got three or four good nights using ...

Re: Resumed AirMini and HumidX humidity exchange

A Heat Moisture Exchanger (HME) is the go. I bought the one that is provided with the Z1 and it can be purchased separately. It lasted two weeks while I was overseas. It will fit every machine as it works in line with your tubing. I've still got an extra one waiting for my next trip where I don't t...

Re: Resumed AirMini and HumidX humidity exchange

I just finished my first night with the AriMini, using the P10 and the HumidX plus. I slept well, but woke up around ~3 hours in with a pretty dry nose. A little saline spray and a glass of water let me go back to sleep until my normal wake-up time. In the morning, I was amazed at the amount of mois...

I have several brand new Airfit P10 small and large pillows--interested in trading for Medium, or will sell for $5 each + shipping.

Re: Encore Pro 2

I'd like some more information on EncorePro 2.0 also please. I have to keep an old WinXP laptop around just to reconfigure cards on my EncorePro 1.8 setup.

Exactly what is it that they are looking for in a CPAP that they consider could be a risk. Exactly what/where are they swabbing? Surface? humidifier tank? Hose? Mask? Did any of you ask that they use clean gloves? I've never had the chance to see my bipap on the x-ray, but I'd guess that the compre...

Re: Invasion of privacy

I travel with business associates and would like to keep my medical issues private. There is no respect for this concern. Frequently TSA yells out, "Cpap!" I feel that my rights are being violated. Then don't fly. While I disagree with the overall inconsistency the TSA shows in policies and procedu...

It sounds like you have problems that go way beyond what a mask manufacturer can solve. Have you spoken to your sleep physician about this?

C'mon, it's just a piece of plastic! I bet it doesn't cost anywhere near that price to manufacture these things. The 3 FF masks I've tried so far do not keep a seal because they don't fit my face. That's literally hundreds of $$ worth of masks for nothing. For this amount of money they should have ...

While I would tend to agree that retail prices are a bit steep on most masks, you have to take a harder look at these things. They're not all that cheap to build. They're designed to be used day in and day out, hold a relatively airtight seal, and stand up to daily cleaning, all while holding togeth...

'Sniffed' EVERY time

I've been travelling a lot lately, and they've done a residue test on my machine EVERY time I go though security. I've reached the point where I put my machine in a bin behind all my other stuff so they can pull it and do the test while I'm putting my laptop away, putting my shoes on, etc. On the up...

Sorry to hear about your bad night. I had a similar situation 2 weeks ago due to severe flu and congestion. My numbers shot through the roof and I could really tell a difference in the morning, even after switching to my FF mask. On the upside, it reminds us just how much better things are post-ther...

I just switched to a Swift II a few days ago on my M Series Bipap auto, and it seems to work very well. I used to have some leak issues with my Comfortgel as the pressure rose, and so far the pillows have done a great job.

I wear a small ComfortGel, but a large Quattro. The ComfortGel's sizing is based on the size of your nose, whereas the Quattro's more the overall size of your nose/mouth region.
