Re: Still waking up a ton at night
I have to agree with jweeks and ask how you know you are waking up. For instance I have been on CPAP for several years and I am still very sleepy the next day, even failed a daytime sleepiness test. I wake up at least 2-3 times a night and have no idea why, about 100% compliant and very tired during...

Re: Doc no longer reading Machine Cards
Your equipment list shows you have the older "M" Series Machine. Encore Basic will run on Windows 7 and will read your older machine. If your Windows 7 is running in 64 bit you will need the new driver. I have both and will be glad to send you a link. Check your PM's. Jerry Yes I run specifically 6...

Doc no longer reading Machine Cards
I have not been on here for a while. But just curious if anyone is in the same boat. I saw my sleep doc about 4 months ago, and since I had failed a daytime sleepiness study he asked me if I was having trouble working, I did tell him I was tired all of the time. But these past few weeks I have been ...

Re: CPAP Issues/Still tired
I have the software, but I no longer had the computer to run it on. It will not install (or would not) on Vista, have not tried W7.
I actually slept without the machine last night and woke up feeling better than I have in months. Still got tired about half way through the day, but definitely better.

CPAP Issues/Still tired
I have not been on here in a while.I have seen a second sleep therapist and still having problems with being tired during the day. The card from my CPAP always shows I am getting the right amount of sleep, but I have always suspect something was not right. Today I woke up and realized my CPAP was no...

Sorry for not posting back... was reading other posts as well:) Yes, I suspected the results on the indexes were not accurate due to the leaks, and I can feel it. I was reading other recent posts on how to stop the leaks. Not sure on using the gel, but I may give it a whirl. I have no sense of smell...

New Machine
Been using the new machine for about a week, Respironics M series setup the same as my old. CPAP at 12. ONe thing I noticed first using this machine is the pressure was a lot higher than my old machine, so there may have been a problem there. Anyway going back to see a new sleep doc at the end of th...

I have been there, taking classes right now. Being a programmer/gammer I would come home from a day of programming then start programming at night. It would be 1:00am before i went to sleep, but I always wake up around 5:30am, no matter what time I go to sleep. You do to look at taking something els...

[quote="gasp"] Sometimes I think it would be great to have a thread index folder system in this forum so we can watch topics and all the threads that relate to a topic instead of just watching individual threads. Oh well. It's voted down every time it's brought up. Anyway, in lieu of the index, mayb...

[quote="ww"]UPS systems are not much good for this purpose as they don't last but a few minutes and can cause harm to some Humidifiers made by ResMed. If you just want an alarm, plug a UPS into an outlet in your room and it will alarm on loss of power. I used an emergency light ($10) that had alarm ...

Power Outage
Thought I would mention this and see if anyone else had experienced this. The 4th of July I was using my new machine and setup everything like I had my old machine. Taped my mouth shut and tried to sleep. With Thunderstorms in the area, I kept waking up and around 1:00 was woke up by a big clap of t...

Sounds like you had your mouth closed and built up pressure in your sinuses, otherwise you shouldn't feel anything in your ears. Or there are other issues such as a blocked sinus. Squeeze the bottle gently as well. Normally the solution runs out right away, but I have had it drip as much as 30 minut...

[quote="Slinky"]One night seldom tells the entire story - not even one night in-lab titration studies always get it right. W/o all the additional data provided by a full PSG you might as well forget about one night's worth of data from a CPAP or autoPAP. Make ONE CHANGE, whether mask or pressure set...
