ResMed Air Sense/Curve 10 SD Card: How Many Days of Data?

From ResMed's website: "How much storage do ResMed’s sleep therapy devices use on the SD card? It varies depending on the sleep therapy device. For example, on an _S9_ therapy device a 1GB SD card easily stores 365 days of usage data, 30 days of detailed data, and _seven days of high-resolution_ dat...

Re: ResMed Aircurve 10 Vauto Question

Perhaps what puzzles me is their saying "PS is fixed." My old machine was an auto bipap. It allowed I and E to vary as needed throughout the night. Independently. Sometimes my nightly avg would be 12/9 (difference of 3). Another night might be 11/7 (difference of 4). On the AC 10 Vauto, if PS = 2, d...

ResMed Aircurve 10 Vauto Question

I've used a Respironics bipap for many years. I just got my first ResMed, an Aircurve 10 Vauto. I'm trying to understand the new terminology. ResMed says: "Automatically adjusts pressure in response to flow limitation, snore and apneas" Sure, OK. "pressure support (PS) is fixed throughout the night ...

Does ResMed have a max size limitation on SD cards?

Depending on the size of the SD card, does Resmed automatically choose the right format (FAT32, exFAT)?

Re: squeaky mask swivel joint

I use that thin, narrow teflon tape. It's commonly used on threads. It allows the swivel to turn easily and quietly.

Re: Itchy nose with CPAP

This is a common problem which most FFM wearers have to deal with sooner or later. When I started out I had a real problem with nose itching. It's much better now. I infrequently have a problem any more. It's because I do _all_ of the things mentioned in this thread. Just one of them wouldn't have f...

Re: Resmed News Release

I guess I was surprised by the numbers. "_three million_ sleep apnea and respiratory care patients every day" 3,000,000 calls/day x 365 days/yr = 1.1 _billion_ calls/yr Are all these calls from xpap machines or are there other types of medical devices that "call home"? Are there other brands of xpap...

Re: Info on Resmed Aircurve Needed

So ... how do you wash a heated hose? (I've never had one.) Can it get wet when washing it? As opposed to just moisture in the air on the inside when you're using the humidifier.

Are the fine filter and the foam/reuseable filter on the Airsense/Aircurve the same as on the S9?

Re: Info on Resmed Aircurve Needed

Thank you for the info. Looks like the Aircurve 10 VAuto is what I need. I have a question about hoses. Resmed has a "Slimline tubing". Is that simply a regular hose? Would the hoses that I used with the BiPap Auto M work? And there's a "Climate Line Air". Is that a heated hose? I've never had a hea...

Info on Resmed Aircurve Needed

Well, I'm about to change strategy. My old BiPap Auto M is on its last legs. Starts and stops itself throughout the night. 21,000 hrs, so it's about time for a new one. I had two goals: get a new machine and avoid a sleep test. I've had three tests (none recent) and as I get older they're more diffi...

Re: Machine stopped operating

Unplug your machine from the wall outlet. Plug in something like a night light to assure the outlet is working. Unplug the electrical cord at the end where it goes into the machine. Examine it for any (unlikely) problems. Plug it securely back into the machine. Plug the other end back into the wall ...
