Don't put a cup of salsa near your CPAP air intake.

BLEH! Did this last night, and started getting a sore throat.

Has anyone put anything "good" near their intake, such as vapor rub, or something else to help clear congestion. Or even scents?

Lori

I don't know Lori, but I do know from the things she has posted that she is a very kind, considerate, fun and helpful person.

I guess the only information I'm looking for is whether the AHI is good and indicates effective treatment, or should I be retitrated.

First Night of S8 Elite Data

I'm hoping to receive some help interpreting this: Pressure 7.2 AHI = 4.1 AI = 0.0 HI = 4.1 LEAK = 0.36 L/S According to the manual, the alarm will sound at greater than 0.7 L/S, and the chart they provided shows 0.36 L/S gets ** out of ***** stars, but it is also under the category of "adjust mask"...

Well the DME people will be stopping by in the next couple hours to deliver my new machine. I took a vacation day so that I can kick back and relax, and also to more fully recover from me being sick the past week. I feel like a foster parent waiting for a new child to be "delivered" to me, it's kind...

I used the ResMed Swift right from the beginning (a couple months ago) and have no problems with that working with my moustache. It is also very comfortable.

Yes, you can get at the data from the screen. I'll probably still buy the software though just because I'm a computer geek.

The S8 Escape will give you only very basic information even with the software, basically compliance data. The S8 Elite provides all the additional information including apnea index, leaks, etc. that I assume most people are looking for when buying software.

New S8 Elite Tuesday

I'll be replacing my S7 Lightweight with an S8 Elite so that I can monitor my progress. I think I'm under titrated, but I'll post some numbers then and hopefully someone can help me make sense of the numbers.

I apologize for misinterpreting anything. Today's not my day, I think I'm getting a fever. Which is ironic.

I was not planning to reply, but I need to. I am very new to the CPAP TALK forum. Virtually everything I have seen and read on this forum has been the friendly exchange of ideas and opinions. I'm not sure how or why any of my posts here, which included the initial post of my opinion based upon what ...
