Reading this thread led me to wonder what the effect of the MAP will be on the "lowest price matching" offers currently provided by cpap dot com as well as by a number of other online merchants. [snip] If MAP is adhered to by sellers, then the provision of a link to a lower "documented" price becom...

Hello Dennis, You did a great job describing how local DMEs perform. I would have rather worked with my local DME, but they were so incompetent and uninterested in answering questions that I knew I needed to find support answers elsewhere. Finding CPAP.Com and their forum solved everything I needed....

Thanks Roger - My face is shaped very similar to yours. The UMFF Large - Standard was almost the mask if I could stay on my back and not move all night it may have worked. I tried it awake and in the end it would always fart out.... We need to stay in touch because the same maks work for us. The Qu...

Roger - my experience with the standard and large is the exact same as yours except I use the standard because the large leaks although it feels better. I felt this way in the beginning. Back then I played with strap settings for a long time and even fired up my Nellcor-395 Oximeter to see how the ...

Roger, Wouldn't it just be easier to move the hose? Shari Hello Shari, Move the hose? I might be missing the point, but when I attempt balance on the edge of the bed, this is when the hose sometimes jumps off the bed and tugs on the mask. If the leak is loud, it breaks the dream state and forces me...

I’m also a side sleeping that didn’t appreciate the humping when I first started with the Activa, but after taking the advice of another poster to loosen the straps I found the mask would settle down, and now it is my nightly companion. On my mask the straps are so loose that they don’t let the mask...

Hello Frustrated, I’ve had that name more than once in my life. It is hard to understand what you should do because you didn’t post the error message you are seeing. However, if it is a bad install or a damaged file or a bad registry entry, then consider doing the following: Try to Un-Install Encor...

My sleep study was created by the Sleepmed Center in San Jose, CA. They don't have a local MD on staff. Instead they use a sleep doctor in Los Angeles who does the reports at night in his spare time. I'm almost certain my report was commented while he was passing the salad or the potatoes at the din...

Hello Ric, Glad you were able to get the reports. In your post you mention the sleep study details going directly to the MD, and for the most part this is probably okay with some exceptions. In my case, my last sleep report was corrected at least three times because of errors made by the reviewing M...

I'm not a lawyer, but I do remember when our attorneys came in and told us how we can't control the retail prices of our products, and we can not charge one class of outlet more money than another class of distribution. Volume discounts were acceptable, as long as all classes of distribution had the...

Good news - Views are implemented beginning with MySQL Server 5.0.1. This has been a long time coming and it will continue to make this a great database system. As for the oximeter, I have two tiny and simple Windows utilities (Communication program with file capture) and a data cleanup utility that...

Hello BrassHopper, I'm sorry it has come to this, but it is great to hear about another bit-twiddler on the hose. I'm in the early stages of trying to connect my Oximeter data to my APAP records so I can better understand how the titration settings I'm using are affecting the oxygen saturation level...

I have a couple of simple programs I use to move data from my Nellcor to Excel that I could send along if you are fairly capable in dealing with software that doesn't stop people from making mistakes. One of the programs takes the data from the Nellcor and the other program cleans it up so it can be...

I have noticed the machine seems to keep recording even when its turned off, or even unplugged. In fact if I don't check the data in a timely manner, it rolls off the end of memory pretty quickly. I didn't observe the machine recording when it was turned off. It will record when running on its inte...
