Question on Resmed S9 Autoset
Just got my new machine... Resmed S9 Autoset with H5i Heated Humidifier and ClimateLine heated tube. Tried it out last night and have a few questions for those who are experienced with this machine. Due to insurance and other issues, I had to order the machine from a DME (in another state) and have ...

Re: S9 versus Intellipap>> opinions
Sincere thanks for the input. After reading the replies and associated posts, I believe I will go for the S9 Autoset. I would like to request one more bit of information. When I originally got my first machine, someone (perhaps RestedGal) posted the specific information that should be on the script....

S9 versus Intellipap>> opinions
Well, my Respironics M Series APAP finally crapped out after 3 years. I travel a good bit and was thinking of trying a different machine. I have narrowed it down to the Resmed S9 or the Intellipap after doing some web research. Would like to get some opinions (pros/ cons, etc) from you ladies and ge...

CPAP Pro Mask?
Heard about the web site http://www.nomask.com on the radio today. I took a look and it is a nasal pillow/mouth piece device. Has anyone had any experience with this? I personally do not think it would work for me. I ordered optilife from cpapauction and for me it seems to difficult to breath out wi...

Re: from original poster
In light of the many posts that this thread has recieved. I've decided to do a little more research regarding the situation. I talked to someone at the sleep center where I was initially tested and ultimately diagnosed for osa and found someone there who was and is willing to sit down and discuss m...

Milestone: First night without leaks!
I started my apap therapy on 18-Dec-07. Started out with Comfortfull 2 FFM because DME did not stock the Quattro. Was not a good mask for me. Received my Quattro FFM on 21-Dec-07. Much better but always started leaking aroung 3-4am. I tweaked and tweaked with straps, position, hose management, etc.....

Joyce.... thanks for the input. My wife just told me that my original reply to your post sounded 'snarky'. Not sure exactly what 'snarky' means but I did not mean it that way. I am just really new to all this CPAP stuff and trying to learn all I can. Also, new to posting on internet forums so I will...

Re: I need your opinions on pressures...
I couldnt get my AHIs down below 1.4, and that was only twice, rest of time, it has been 1.8 to 2.5. Quick question... I thought that if the AHI was below 5 then this is normal. Mine was over 70 prior to getting my APAP machine last week. It has been around 1.8 - 2.1 since starting therapy. I assum...

robrdavis.... I just got my machine 7 days ago from a local DME (similar to Apria but a smaller). Let me tell you... after hanging out and reviewing the "Our Collective Wisdom" section on this forum for a few days, I knew much more than I ever hoped to learn from the Respiratory Therapist. Using the...

CPAP help with Migraines?
Just curious if anyone has found that CPAP therapy has helped with migraine headaches? The main reason that I am now on CPAP therapy is that my neurologist referred me as a potential cure/relief of migraine headaches. I have had these since my teenage years and none of the current medications (i.e. ...

21 Charts in Encore Pro Analyzer - which to take to Dr.?
There are lots of charts / graphs / etc... on EPA. What are the typical charts that most take to their appointment with their sleep doctor? I can't imagine him taking the time to review all 21 charts.
Thanks.... Barry

Hi Engrdad, Have you thought about asking your doc for Ambien, just to get you over the hump in the process? It might help. Hi Suz-E-Q... My doctor gave me ambien with 5 refills when I returned to the states last May. I asked her if it was addictive and she said not to worry about it. She just call...
