Long time user suddenly having dry mouth
I have been using my CPAP for almost two years now and am suddenly having an issue with dry mouth. I wear a Resmed Liberty and have a humidifier. I always used to keep the humidifier on the middle setting, but for the last several weeks have needed to turn it up (without much result)...last night I ...

New Liberty Elbow (how you can tell the difference)
I just spoke with Resmed and confirmed the issue about the Liberty Elbow breaking (see posts below). They are aware of the defect and have made a new stronger elbow. Here is how you can tell the difference: Look on the part of the elbow where you squeeze the plastic to release it from the mask. The ...

I am gald it was helpful. I'll try explaining the nasal pillow fix better... After getting the mask fitted and attatching the lower straps, I take a pea size piece of Mack's Silicon and roll it into an egg shape. I then take a 2.5 to 3 inch piece of clear medical tape and place the silicone at the m...

I have a full Gotee as well and have not had any probems with leaks around my mouth (my leaks come through the nasal pillows). I keep it pretty finely trimed so that might make the difference. For me, being sure that I have a clean mask and a clean face is the key to a good seal around the mouth. I ...

I have tried several masks but the Liberty has worked the best for me. I've make some adjustements, and now seem to have a system down that has eliminated my problems. It takes me about 5-8 minutes each night, but is well worth it. Here is my process: Wash Face: Using Johnson's baby wash, I wash my ...

I also have a Resmed Vantage and use the EPR in CPAP mode. Snoredog is mostly right in that to get the full effect if the titrated number while using EPR you need to set your pressure higher. However, I have noticed that it does not need to set it a full cm high for each EPR setting. For example, wh...

How do I tell the Doctor?????
How do I tell the doctor I have been changing my own pressure settings? Ok, so I have been on CPAP since July. I was titrated at a 9, but my wife noticed me snoring a little and my AHI was at 7+. Using this forum I learned how to change the menus and I gradually increaded my pressure up to 11.4, at...

Nasal Congested and CPAP
I am having my first really stuffed-up nose since being on CPAP and am wondering what effects others have with nasal congestion and CPAP usage (sleep quality, APAP presuures, AHI's, mouth breathing, etc...)?
Also, what "tricks" have people found helpful duing these times?

I have been fighting the same battle for the last several weeks. My co-pay came back at over $1000. The total cost was like $7900, but BC/BS's contracted price was $6800 ($3200 for first night and $3500 for second night). My payment is 20%. I am VERY frustrated, especially because I had two colleage...

Rested Gal... You are right...it was several daily reports I was looking at. My APAP max was set to 12, but the readings we 12.2 and 12.4. YOu may be right on wondering how exact they are in the tenths. With my Hi's, I know it is not a big deal. I am under 5 and my AI's are very consistent at 0.0 to...
