Highmark Blue Cross opens their own DME.
Is having a Blue Cross insurance Company opening a DME a good thing ?
Looks like they have the support of the major manufacturers.
What are your thoughts............?

Re: Classic Sleepcare DME charges
Could the $35 be for compliance documentation ? Some ins comp require you to use the cpap over 4 hours each night - others will monitor for first year.

Re: Classic Sleepcare DME charges
This DME should have reviewed the price structure prior to or at least at the initial startup of cpap. Also, I would think that the DME company (Classic Sleepcare) would have also disclosed that you are out of network. Your concern is the $35 'service charge'. Could this be some service you requeste...

Try placing your mask on and note the pressure. A ramp will be active for about 20 minutes. If you wear the mask for ...

Re: 90 day checkup with DME
Medicare does not require a copy of your sleep test. They do require that the DME maintains in your file a copy of everything they state within the Medical Policy for CPAP.

Re: 90 day checkup with DME
Just about all insurance companies now have, in some form, a medical policy that should explain the requirements needed by your Medical Doc.(PCP), Sleep lab, Sleep Doc., DME, then follow-ups. Each must maintain records showing COMPLIANCE with the CPAP. Private insurance companies, for the most part,...

Well, let's make sure those free-loading vets don't get a dime from the tax payers! They should be grateful we gave them the chance to get shot at. One day post Memorial Day. The very Day our Fathers, Brothers, Sons and Daughters gave their all so we can bitch about paying for a chin strap. How cou...

Call your sleep center, your sleep Doc or look in the yellow pages. rent a machine like your husbands. Have your prescribed settings placed in the machine. Have the sleep doc look at report. Forget the sleep study for now, it may be a machine or mask problem. May even be a YOU problem (increased ahi...
