Where to donate a cpap

I have an old machine. It has not been used in several years but I'm sure that it still works. I am happy to donate but I have no idea who would accept this kind of donation. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Diane

Re: Reading the reports

Well, the report says no large leak with this mask. As I've said, I have a real problem getting masks to fit. I have a small face, a VERY small nose with no bridge, chubby cheeks and shoulder length hair. I have tried numerous masks but nothing works well day in and day out. I'm open to all mask sug...

Re: Reading the reports

OK -so let's see if I understand this... I use a variety of masks due to problems fitting my VERY samll nose, but right now I am using the ResMed Swift LT. Accoring to the book (with the little graph) the flow at 8 is 28 and the flow at 12 is 33. According to my report on the 28th (last day download...

Reading the reports

About 2 weeks ago I invested in a new machine...the Respironics M Series with AFlex. I also purchased the software and card reader. Now, how do I read the reports? Is there a chart somewhere that tells you what the numbers mean...or rather what they should be? What are acceptable ranges? For example...

I also had the major dent in the forehead problem. My DME told me to take off the gel "spacer" and just loosly attach the straps. It worked wonders.

Caroline.....yes, the Activa is a small, shallow. Unfortunately, it covers half my face instead of just my nose. When I was at the DME, I told him to think 12 year old when considering my face size. He corrected me...said I needed to think infant! My nose is VERY small and the bridge is almost flat....

Caroline, Currently I am using a Profile Lite, petite. It is still too big and the gel makes my face break out but I can certainly sleep with it. In addition, I sometime use a swift but it aggrivates my allergies (even with the heated humidifier). The other problem is that I do move around quite a b...

Extra Masks

Does anyone have a suggestion for selling/donating masks that "didn't work"? I have been using CPAP for 1 year now. Due to my VERY small features, I have had a terrible time getting a mask to fit. I have 3 masks that I tried, used once or twice or maybe a week, and then packed away to try something ...

While I appreciate all of the input, I'm confused.

According to my doctor and the literature about humidifiers, they are used for nasal DRYNESS. I have NO dryness. All a humidifier ever does for me is make my nose run even more. Am I missing something?

Thanks

Thanks for the tips. Currently I am not using ANY humidifier. I haven't had a stuffy nose in years. And truthfully, I don't have one now. What I have is a faucet! Liquid just pours out of my eyes and nose. Unbelievable! I do clean my filters regularly (they haven't even seemed dirty at all). I also ...

CPAP and allergies

I have always suffered tremendously with nasal allergies. However, for the past 5 years using Zyrtec and Singulair I hardly have any problems at all. (as in, your wouldn't even know that I had allergies). I started with my CPAP in mid June. Recently my nose just will not stop running, my eyes are wa...

I am almost 50

My metabolism had slowed way down. I didn't realize it (much) just figured that I was getting older. But now that I have more energy I realize what had happened.

No I haven't tried it..............all of the measuring guides and the DME sya that it will be too big. That's one of the questions I'm asking.......will it fit a VERY small face? I don't have a bridge to my nose (well, it's about an 8th of an inch, maybe) and my nose is tiny. for what it's worth, I...
