Finally....Success !!! Opus and SWIFT II

There have been some threads regarding OPUS vs SWIFT II pillows. I was having difficulty with both, being a side sleeper. After almost giving up on them, I tried one last thing. I switched to using a firm pillow to sleep on. That was the trick! Now that my head doesn't sink into the pillow, my mask ...

I've tried both the OPUS and the SWIFT II. I actually have a problem with both of them. When I lay on my side (which is my usual position), the pillows keep shifting. I've tried various fixes although I haven't yet resorted to duct tape or crazy glue. The OPUS is very light weight and the pillows ar...

Newbie question - Using CPAP with a cold

I caught a bit of a cold and last night I was reminded that the nose bone is connected to the ear bone.

My ear started to hurt because of the pressure.

Can you use CPAP when you have a cold. Has anyone else had their ears bothered because of being congested?

About the OPUS mask

As far as comfort goes, I'm pretty happy with this mask, or as happy as I'm ever going to get. There is one issue with this mask and that is noise due to the escaping air. Also, dependng on my sleep position, I end up with the air in my face. The noise is bad enough that it disturbs my better half b...

Water in mask problem

First, thanks to everyone for help on my previous posts. I'm now at least not taking my mask of during the night and using AYR gel has really helped the soreness at the tip of my nose. Now I have another question. I am using the F&P HC604 with the OPUS mask. I have the unit temp at 2.5 and the heate...

I tried the SWIFT and it lasted 2 days for me. I've been using the OPUS for a week now and find it more comfortable. The design also will not put pressure on the upper lip. One other big bonus for me is that the OPUS really makes side/stomach sleeping much easier. I'm new on the forum and new to CPA...

OUCH....Nasal Pillow Pain

I just started CPAP. I began with a SWIFT pillow that hurt my upper lip. I got an OPUS mask that solved that problem. Now I am getting sore just under the tip of my nose between the nostrils. This pain starts after about an hour of wearing the mask. I can't pinpoint what it is that is causing this. ...

Congestion and trouble exhaling - New to CPAP

I've now been on CPAP for 1 week. Last night, due to frustration with trying to get used to the equipment, I didn't use tyhe machine. I won't be making that blunder again. I didn't realize how much the CPAP was doing, even if I only had it on for a few hours. Anyway, I wanted to ask about trouble ex...

New to CPAP - Questions

I just started CPAP last Thursday. Initially, I was using a SWIFT nasal pillow but it really hurt under my nose. I just got a new Opus nasal pillow and really like it compared to the SWIFT. But I still hate CPAP. So far, the longest I have been able to use my CPAP has been about 4 hours, and, that i...
