Life Insurance Update, could be helpful to others

I have been meaning to post an update for others who may be searching for good rates. I am 32 years old and have moderate OSA. Otherwise, healthy and NOT overwieght. I had a 30 year term policy BEFORE I was diagnosed with OSA and since then i had my 2nd child and was looking for more coverage. I was...

apnea and life insurance policy question

hey everyone, It's been over a year since I have posted and probably 15 months on CPAP. It's going well ... i am actually mentally uncomfortable sleeping without my mask (if that makes sense). I am still tired often but that is likely the result of having a 2 year old and a 5 month old. Here's my qu...

just ordered an Aura from CPAP

seems like some people love the Aura ... I like the Swift but the Aura seems to allow more flexibility while sleeping and no swoosh marks ... YES.

Are the pillows any more or less comfortable than the swift?

Aura?

Is the Aura a new mask? I have been using the swift and find it comfortable enough. But, I like to sleep on my side and find that sometimes my pillows "knocks the pillow/mask" around some and creates a leak ... or I am subconsciously paranoid that it will. The aura looks outstanding for side sleeper...

Alright. I figured, someone running a sleep lab at a hospital would know what they are doing. I was shocked at how he said only a "few days" with such strong conviction. Any know my doctor ??? But, the bottom line is that I have been 100% compliant ... feel better ... just want to feel a lot better ...

Thank goodness. Conceptually the "only a few days" thing simply made no sense. I have been 100% compliant and feel better in many aspects ... but I know if this is as good as it gets I must have something else wrong going on ... I am only 31 and remember feeling real good as recently as 5-10 years a...

Sleep Debt

Hello Everyone. I had a follow up meeting with my sleep doctor. It has been 1 month since I started CPAP therapy. I feel better, but like many of us, I have no idea what normal should feel like. I need to get back on an exercise schedule which I haven't done yet. No real excuse, simply have not star...

Does more dreaming mean CPAP therapy is working

Hello everybody once again. Last night was by far my best night (5th on therapy and I have been getting quite comfortable with my swift ... it's my "go to" mask vs. Activa) I slept un-interrupted for 4 hours last night (by far the most) ... was then awake for 45 minutes or so and then slept another ...

I am back with last nights results. Put on my Activa and felt like I was playing with the adjustments to much and the seal didn't feel right and I guess the pressure was annoying me and for some reason the suction felt more intense that it did 2 nights ago. After 30 minutes, I ditched the Activa for...

remember me? I have an update ... looking for some insight

Thank you to everyone for being so helpful to me a few weeks ago. Here's the update: I received my CPAP (set at 11) last Saturday and I got both the Swift and the Activa masks (have the BS Respironics full face comfort from my titration … gonna burn that one this fall). I used the Swift the 1st nigh...

nasal pillows for newbie?

Anyone out there who took to the nasal pillows right away? is that unrealistic?

Sounds like I have 3 options. Pillows, something that just covers my nose, and a full face.

What has everyone's experience been initially?

CPAP pressure and losing weight

Thanks for everyone's advice to me last week. I had an awful experience last Thursday during my titration study but refuse to let it get me down. So, I am expecting to hear from my doctor soon regarding the correct pressure setting and then I can get my equipment and hit the road to recovery. I am h...

I am shocked at how thoughtful and supportive everyone on this boartd is. Thank you so much. I just looked up this Nasal Pillow System and that looks great. The least intrusive thing i have seen. What's the downside? Looks to good to be true. (Money is no object for me based on my experience last ni...
