Good points about the DME but DME isn't local (they send UPS) and local vendors didn't have the right tube in stock. So I just figured I'd get it here overnight via cpap.com, and I'll worry about the billing/exchange with DME later.

I'll try straight CPAP, but the help desk at cpap.com isn't optimistic. Either mode relies on the pressure sensor to regulate pressure, whether it's constant or variable. I could probably buy oxygen tubing, which I'm told is the same gauge, and bore a hole in the side of one end of the six-foot tube...
