49...just barely Been on cpap for about 5 weeks, still wake up in the morning with the mask on the nightstand. Don't know when I take it off. I do feel much better now with it. My baby turns 21 on October, the kids brag to their professors about the cool parents that ride motorcycles all over the US...

Thanks Sandi and Derek, Weight is a factor in what I can take along. I'll investigate the deep cycle batteries and of course a smaller charger. I'm heading out the 20th for 9 days, some in the wilderness, some not so wild Once I return I'll report back. I'm thinking I can survive without the humidifi...

Camping w/CPAP and Batteries
I am a motorcycle and camping enthusiast. I enjoy touring on the motorcycle and then setting up camp. We have a nice popup that tows behind my motorcycle. Sometimes we end up in some wilderness where there isn't electricity for a given nights stay and I will be running my CPAP off battery. Being tha...

I just started with mine also and feel your pain. Hang in there, it gets better. I do have the Activa mask and found it to be very good fit, even over my moustache and beard. Once I see my doctor for a followup visit, I'm asking about the pillows, seems to be a better way to go if it can work for me...

Amy, I like the board as it does give an outlet for the stress and frustrations we all feel at times. It is nice, at least for me, to find others with the same issues, and know i'm not the first or alone in it. I will say I've approached this with the same humor I've used most of my life when faced ...

Amy, I'm sorry to hear of the issues and trials you've been going thru. I sort of dread going to bed at night because of the mask. But yet again it is the mask that is the culprit. My dad passed away two years ago and was on oxygen full time the last 6 months of his life. He started out slowly and i...

New here - Newly diagnososed - Brief Introduction
Hi, Just found this board a week or so ago and have been reading as much as I can. I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea. I have my sleep test (or should I say no sleep test) on June 29. Being wired up like I was I did manage to get about 30 minutes of sleep in which the doctor said I had 28 eve...
