Re: Good books on sleep
Here is a very good book that explains it all. Even has a good section on dental devices. The person who wrote that section knows her stuff. I would suggest anyone to see here for the dental device Sleep Apnea-The Phantom of the Night: Overcome Sleep Apnea Syndrome and Win Your Hidden Struggle to Br...

Re: Can CPAP casue stomach to bloat out?
I had the same problem with the CPAP machine, and I also I had weight loss surgery(banded) at the same time. I was allway burping and felt I had extra air all the time. The doctor did say that this can be aproblem and he adjusted the pressure to the lowest and used the ramp on the machine and I did ...

Re: Help! - I am trying to quit.
I have had the dental device for the last 18 months. I got it in February of 2008 and then in Sept. of 2008 I had a sleep study done and found I was doing fine. If you got to my other post you will see the results of my sleep study with the dental device. It is one of the best things I did for mysel...

Re: How Do We Chose A CPAP Machine
I would talk with your doctor and see what he suggest or request what you have. I lucked out with my doctor and the DME vendor. I was very pleased with the Remstar Auto M-Series machine.

Re: I sleep better when I don't wear my mask.
I also had problems with wearing the mask. I think there is a lot more people that have this same problem. I talked to my doctor about it and he suggested that I look into getting a dental device. He sent me to a dentist who deals in sleep apnea and I was fitted with a herbest retainer. It did take ...

Re: Starting out with high pressure
What type of machine did you get? I have the Remstar Auto M Series and it has an auto ramp up which starts out at a lower pressure and goes up to where you need to be. I would also make sure that it records your data and then go back to your doctor with the stuff and talk about it and see if you nee...

Re: Encore Pro Report ... What is Happening???
Here is another thought as well, The mask you are using might not be the right one for you. Everyone is differant. It took me about 3 masks to find the right one. That would fit and not leak. Also I would talk with your doctor about this and see what he has to say about the leaks.

Re: M Series Auto CPAP with A-Flex Setting
I have the M Series with A Flex and it works great. I can copy you the book and e-mail it to you if you would like. The nice thing about this machine is that it will start out a low pressure and go up to where it should stop. Also you will have a data card that you can use to find out how much press...

I would take your results to your doctor and ask him your questions about the numbers and how you feel.

Re: What to do when you drop that weight?
I have lost over 70 lbs. since I had my first sleep study. I worked with my doctor and about 18 months after the first sleep study I had another one and he said that I still have sleep apnea and could use the machine and/ or dental device. I use the dental device and doing well. You can see my other...

I guess the weather got to everyone expect for me. I showed up last night and looks like it was postponed. From what I gather I was the only one that showed up. Hope to make it in Feb.

Re: New Sleep Study Could Use some help figuring it all out!
I would suggest that you take your study and machine into the doctors office have them down load the data so far and have him explain the sleep study in detail and then tell him the problems that you are having. I had some of the same problems with feeling bloated and to much pressure. After talking...
