Re: Sleep deprivation or something else
The anxiety / panic feelings could be a O2 problem, low oxygen level. See if you can get a portable O2 recorder to wear. I used to forget to breathe at different times and those were some of the symptoms. Thanks for the reply. Is this something I would wear during the day, just at night, or both? W...

Sleep deprivation or something else
I have Sleep Apnea – OSA, and told it is severe. I’m still working on finding an effective treatment, using a Somnomed mouth guard now and trying to find the optimum setting. (I previously tried CPAP and could not tolerate it.) I’m wondering if the symptoms I am suffering from are from sleep depriva...

Re: Sinus Irrigators
I forgot to add I was looking at some of the power models if you will.Like the Grossan HydroPulse. I tried the Grossan and ended up returning it. I felt if caused irritation. I think you are better off with the non-automated systems. Just irrigate morning and night and it should do he trick. The Ne...

Swift II and nasal mask/head gear opinions requested
Still looking for a good nite sleep with CPAP. My BEST night was at my sleep study (best nites sleep in years). I'm considering moving into a sleep center -- joke. I have the Swift II and wanted to find out how those of you using this mask (nasal pillows), attached the tube. Currently I have been le...

Re: anxiety???
YES! I had a major panic attack a few weeks after starting CPAP. The attack happened when I was not using CPAP (during the day), and I had several attacks over the course of months after the first one. Never had experienced anything like that before and I have to think it was associated with the CPA...

Thanks guys. Love the "Leak Chart". I'm actually beating (lower than) the acceptable leakage, so I'm glad this does not appear to be my issue. But man.... I'm using the ResMed Malibu unit and do not like this puppy. Its been over 1 month and have not achieved the excellent results achieved at my sle...

Mirage Swift II Nasal Pillow System - Leak rate and exhaust
New to CPAP and using the Mirage Swift II Nasal Pillow System. What is an acceptable leak rate, or unacceptable with this mask? Also, when I wear the nasal pillows, the exhaust air that blows out the opposite side of the pillows is pretty strong. Is this normal for this mask? Thanks.

Any dangers to doing CPAP?
Are there any negatives/dangers to using CPAP? Can having high-pressure air blowing into your nose all night long cause any problems? I've been suffering from panic attacks since starting CPAP, and wonder if there is a connection. To be clear, the panic does not happen at nite using CPAP. Actually I...

I have started CPAP a little over a week ago. This past week, I have had been experiencing bad anxiety and yesterday had a bad panic attack. I'm never had anxiety like this before and just wondering if the CPAP can be contributing to this.

Help interpreting software results - VPAP Malibu
I have the VPAP Malibu and was not shown the software feature. My DME had me change my pressure, so I now know how to access the Clinical part of the Malibu settings. I am new to CPAP and am still waiting for a great night's sleep, as I had during my CPAP study. If I'm reading these results correctl...
