Hoses...
...can't handle florescent light or sun! Could be it had sat on a shelf, under lights or too close to a window. That thin plastic between the wire will rot in a flat, hot minute! I think I'd write to them and complain!

Increased CPAP Pressure
Someone sent me an article about a year ago that explained CPAP pressure. It basically said that even without a weight gain or some other factor coming into play, some people will need their pressure bumped up a bit for no apparent reason. Usually after they have been on PAP therapy for a few years....

I've never heard of any companies doing that, but if they do that would be great! If you find out who they are, please post something!

UARS
Not full-blown apnea, but real close. Unfortunately, the insurance companies usually don't go for that when it comes time to pay for CPAP. It is sometimes called "Primary Snoring" too.

Fisher-Paykel has a new CPAP machine that is supposed to be great for people with stuffy nose problems. A friend of mine works with a sleep technologist who uses it on herself. She has lots of allergies and says it really helps. Something about the way it filters and humidifies the air. If you keep ...

The Uvula...
...helps direct fluid down your throat. After U3P, the juicy stuff can come out your nose when you drink. And the tissue tends to grow back after 4 or 5 years. It rarely helps obstructive sleep apnea. Sures gives snoring a kick in the head though!
