SPO-7500

mindy, For what it's worth... In the almost three weeks now since the SPO-7500 arrived, I've been able to see a definite correlation between the SPO-7500 reports of events, and those from the Encore Viewer reports. My numbers are varying between 72% and 98% with the lowest numbers coinciding exactly...

Flow Limitations

Hello all, I am curious about one of the fields on my Encore Viewer reports. When i have my Respironics M Bi-PAP Auto set so that I have my prescribed 13/9 pressures set (non-auto), I never get any values showing on the Flow Limitations field of the daily report (graph). When I set the machine to Au...

Sososleepy, For what it's worth I'm still new to the Bi-PAP stuff, but since starting 4+ months ago I, like probably everyone else, have been struggling to find "the one that works" (mask wise). I have tried many of the nasal pillow type masks, but even with a chin strap and taping, I still get lots...

SPO finger thingy

Arizona-Willie, The finger thingy on the 7500 is sort of a flattened rubber thimble a little over an inch long that slips over your finger tip. The first night it was a little uncomfortable, but either I'm getting used to it or it's loosening up just a bit. After four or five nights now, It is not b...

7500 just arrived

FYI Monday Wes returned my call inquiring about the 7500 I ordered on Jan 11th, He told me the 7500 units had finally arrived and would be going out on Tuesday. Today (Wednesday) DHL delivered it just as Wes said they would. It is the full version with software and USB cable. And Med1Online honored ...

Bi-Flex Settings on Auto M Bi-Pap

Hello All,
I have a Respironics Auto Bi-PAP w/ Bi-Flex. I have been using it for a little over three months and really don't understand which of the three possible B-Flex settings are optimal, or how to figure that out.
Can anyone explain?
Thanks in advance,
Brian

Good news about Missing Data on Respironics M

After waiting for 20 minutes to talk to a "technical specialist for Encore Software" I was informed that there are "no known issues with missing data" related to the "M" series C-PAP and Bi-PAP machines. I was also told that as a consumer I am supposed to get "support" from my DME! If you call any o...

Rested Gal, Thank you, I will try AdmiralCougars 15/9 suggestion and see what happens. I do have Encore Viewer and have been watching the AHI numbers daily. I currently am using the Bi-Pap set at the 13/9 as prescribed and am getting an AHI of 5.6. Thanks to information from this forum and the peopl...

AdmiralCougar, Thanks for your advice and suggestions. I have had the Bi-Pap Auto (set by the DME) at the prescribed 13/9 for a little over 6 weeks and the resulting AHI averages about 5.6, which is much better than the sleep study AHI of 60. I just want to see if the numbers can improve further. Th...

GumbyCT, Sorry , I left out what's going on with my progress. I have been using the Bi-Pap for a little over 6 weeks and my average AHI numbers are still over 5.6. After seeing first hand how hard it is to find a mask that works, it just seems to me that the Titration process can't be that accurate ...

Confused about Bi-Pap Auto pressure levels

Hello, I am trying to figure out what levels to set on a Respironics Bi-Pap Auto M series. My prescribed levels from the sleep center are 13/9. It seems to me that the sleep study was conducted under less than comfortable conditions with some level of anxiety thrown in for good measure, and as a resu...

Reformatting Encore pro cards

Hi, I have been using my Respironics Bi-Pap for a month and a half and have been printing my daily reports to track progress (have not been able to figure out how to save the data on my computer), however, for the past two days there has been no data to print. When I called Respironics they told me ...

Pressure Settings for Bi-PAP Auto M

Hello, I have been using a Respironics Bi-PAP Auto for only about a month with the pressure settings (locked by the RT) at 13/9 as per the sleep labs prescription. My AHI results on the best nights are around 2.0 and the worst nights are around 6.5. I have been using a Liberty mask. I am just curiou...

Humidification?

Hello, I have been using a Respironics M Bi-PAP with humidification (set at 4) for two weeks with no big problems. I am traveling to Hawaii for a week and am not sure if humidification is needed there. I live in New Mexico where average humidity is well below 15% most of the time. If I don't need to...
