I'm Back

Well it has been seven (7) years since I posted, but thought I would come back and show my ugly mug . I was in the market for a second CPAP to leave in my RV so I wouldn't have to keep moving my Resmed S8 back and forth ( and besides I forgot to pack it on a long, and I do mean lo-o-o-ong weekend). ...

I guess that I was a lucky one. I signed up when it was 5 of 50 and I got my notification on Monday that I was accepted. UPS tracking said that I should get it today (Friday). I did not buy my Swift II off of cpap.com. Don't know what the criteria is for getting chosen, but I am glad that I got pick...

Two week mark

14 days and still going strong. May change my user name to the "Energizer Bunny". lol Readout says 14/14 days used and 98 hours. Averages 7 hours of use per night. I used to not even sleep seven hours a night. I took it off last night around 4 am (don't really know why) and wife gave me a little 'lu...

I feel privileged. I had my study on Friday night and they were calling me on the following Tuesday wanting to get me set up. Go my cpap on Wednesday. Don't know if I was lucky or just that bad off. DME told me that I was at the "stroke level" and it was urgent that I get set up ASAP. It has been t...

I have been on the hose for 5 nights. I still look forward to going to bed and "hooking up". Still getting used to it but I am still wearing the mask between 6-7 hours each night. I'll usually take it off when alarm goes off and the I'll hit the snooze once. Nose has been a little sore but I figure ...

I attached the hose to the front strap and it worked fine. I only sleep on my back and my left side, so I have the hose on my right side. Worked pretty well. Also 7 HOURS on night 2. WOW! Hope it continues. I found out that if you open your mouth during the night, YOU WILL WAKE UP! Pressure rush. I ...

Thanks all...KenC, I was able to sleep on my side the first night without too much movement of my mask. I was trying to figure out how to control that big 'ole hose when I rolled over then I saw a picture on this site where I could strap it to the headgear. I was wondering what that little extra vel...

First night

Well, I made it!! Put mask on around 9:30 pm and dozed off around 10:00. Woke up several times confused about what was on my face, but quickly went back to sleep (once I realized I wasn't snorkling). Woke up about 4:15 am and took mask off due to nasal openings getting sore. Woke up again with alar...

Newbie on Board

Well, here I am. Just got my new CPAP today and lying here trying to get used to it. Say this forum and thought I'd join. Have read many posts already and it is good to know that I am not alone in this new, life changing adventure. My wife and I are both looking for some restful nights without me sn...
