Thanks for the response Teri, last year I think I bought my son about 8 new toothbrushes! But he goes to his Dad's house and I bet he didn't buy him a new one....As for me, I just gave up on the "good" toothbrushes...lol...The $.50 from Wal-Mart do just fine for the small amount of time I use them.....

Thanks everybody for all of the replies...I would be so lost if I didn't have here to come to for answers! (not that I always post my questions...lol...I just always seem to find the answers here) My appointment with the ENT is next Wednesday, and I plan on making out a big list to ask him about. I ...

A tonsillectomy sounds bad enough, I definitely do not want anyone carving out my palate. I'm not thrilled about the tonsillectomy but doctors have been suggesting it for 20 years (since I was 4) because I would get strep throat about 8+ times a year...Every doctor that looks at them talks about how...

Tonsillectomy (sp?)

Yesterday I went for my follow up with the sleep doc, and after about an hour of talking to him about everything that's wrong, he recommended that I see an ENT about getting my tonsils removed because they're quite large (had problems with them all my life anyways). Dr. Z stressed that I would still...

I went for my one month follow up with the sleep doc yesterday and he suggested putting me on an auto pap for two weeks because I had lost 10 lbs and he thought that the pressure (17) was too high for me now. I also had to go down to a small mask (full face) because the size of my face had changed a...

Ok, I have an odd question...I managed to keep the CPAP mask on from about 11:30 last night to 6:30 this morning...But after I woke up my teeth are hurting like crazy! Feels like I'm chewing on aluminum foil...Is this normal when you first start using CPAP? I'm sure it's something to do with the pre...

Now I have an entirely new problem....

Well, I managed to fall asleep with the CPAP...(might I add without the feeling of my mouth being "blown open" or filled with air) I set the ramp, but still wasn't able to fall asleep until it hit the set pressure...That's not my problem though...Woke up to get my son ready for school...and...I wasn...

Why yes it is a comfort full mask...I'm going to call my dr. tommorrow about the congestion, it's hard to sleep even without something on my face...He had me on Flonase for awhile, but it's not working...Anyways, thanks for your help!

New to CPAP, have questions

I have some questions that weren't really addressed by the home health agency. (Please bear with me while I try to explain what I'm talking about). Is it usual for people that wear a full face mask to feel like their mouth is being blown open? When I wear my mask it feels like I cannot keep my mouth...

Re: Anxiety with 2nd Sleep Study

Well, I called today and my next study is on August 5th...By then, I hope to not be so nervous about it...After the night I had last night, I don't see how being there for one night can be any worse than every night going through sleeping problems and feeling like a zombie the next day! Well thank ...

Re: Anxiety with 2nd Sleep Study

Thanks so much everyone! I got to feeling so bad for not following through with the study last night...then not so bad as I just kept getting sicker throughout the day (summer colds are the worst!)...My Dr. has me on Flonase nasal spray and allergy meds for my daily congestion, so hopefully by the ...

Anxiety with 2nd Sleep Study

I attempted to have my second sleep study last night to fit me for a CPAP machine...It didn't go well at all...I kept trying to talk myself into being able to do it, and they did find a mask that felt pretty comfortable to me (as opposed to the nasal and full mask)...I did have some nasal congestio...
