Since you are not a new user, you don't need any advice on how to use the machine. I would suggest you to go to Buffalo, NY to buy one. I got my PB420E with heated humidifier for US$700, which could cost me over US$1000 if bought it in Toronto.

Can anyone point me to an in-depth discussion allowing me to get a better understanding of the EEG part of the sleep study. None of the books I've read go into much depth. I'd especially like to read about it in the context of Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (UARS). Those of use with UARS never se...

Re: Fellow Ontario Residents - Questions about ADP
My vendor, Shopper HomeHealth Care, did all the paper work for me; and then deduct the ADP portion. Even though there are some restrictions about how much the vendor can charge for the machine. Some vendors, like mine, will bill you extra for the service (or so called package deal). So for the same ...

Even with the $780 from Ontario government's Assistive Devices Program (OADP) in Ontario, I figure that we have to pay much more compared to buying from the internet. The total cost for my CPAP is about CAN$2200. If it did not covered by my insurance company, it would cost me CAN$1400, compared to U...

I can think of two possible reasons for the probelm. First reason is that the CD has defect. You can test this by loading your CD on other computer. Another possible reason is that your CD drive is too old, which has problem to read certain CD media. Some old computers in our organization has proble...

Re: Sleep apnea, heart disease, and Alzheimer's Disease
I don't know if I have the marker. I know having the marker doesn't mean heart disease and Alzheimer's Disease are inevitable. I know I have sleep apnea. I know my dad has sleep apnea. I know my parents have Alzheimer's Disease and Vascular Dementia. I know I'm worried. Now the question is, should ...

Misleading sleeping study result
Right after my first post-CPAP treatment sleeping study two weeks ago, the technician adjusted the pressure level of 8cm on my CPAP in the morning. After reading the detail report of the study this morning, I find out why I did not feel much improvement after increasing the level from 7 to 8cm. Here...

Re: quantitative EEG and sleep apnea?
Does anyone know anything about this test? What I am really interested in is whether having untreated/undiagnosed OSA--with the resultant sleep issues and fatigue and brain fog, etc.--might possibly cause anything unusual to show up in a non-sleep EEG (specifically a quantitative EEG but I assume t...

You've given me some ideas on things I need to check. I'll check these out and post results . Funny though, because I've tried it on both of my PC's and it acts the same way . The searching flashlight sometimes comes on , but usually says no connection . A lot of times, no flashlight , no message, ...
