Re: Burn or heat marks on AirSense 10 water reservoir?
I have the same burn marks. My AS10 is only a few weeks old, and never run dry (but close a couple times). There's no reason steel should discolor like that (at least with any temperature short of a welding rig). Maybe there's some sort of coating on the metal? I haven't tried rubbing it off yet .. ...

S9 Runtime?
Does anyone know if it's possible to read out the total runtime on an S9 Auto machine? Mostly for curiosity, but it's getting pretty long in the tooth and I'm wondering how long before I need to get serious about replacing it. (I bought it only a few months after it came out, been a steady workhorse...

Re: How to clean/deoderize/sanitize machine
I have a similar problem after taking my machine on travel - the hotel air can leave a rather "unique" smell in the machine. I simply took apart and cleaned everything that normally can come apart (per the cleaning instructions), did one pass with dye/perfume free dish detergent then a pass with Con...

Re: How Long Do Machines Really Last?
The air from the heated humidifier does NOT go THROUGH the machine - so, HOW can it damage the machine? In my case: a nice coughing fit. I have a very powerful cough. Back when I used a Resmed S8, my coughs would cause the machine software to crash and force a reboot. Obviously that is going to hav...

Whew. My sister in law came through for me, she found a place open today and is making a side trip to pick up a brick for me (she is going on the same cruise).
Thanks everyone for your suggestions!

Help! Miami area CPAP DMEs open on Saturday or Sunday?
So I am currently on a train on my way to Orlando, at which point I will be driving to Miami and tomorrow boarding a cruise ship. Unfortunatley I left he power brick to my S9 at home. Does anyone know of a DME in Miami open Saturday who might be able to deliver to my hotel? I tried several online di...

Re: S9 Autoset Popping noise
Is it a gentle popping noise, or more of a snap?
I've found if I overfill my humidifier tank even a little I get a gentle popping noise if I exhale a bit hard, as the water splashes around in the tank. The tank really doesn't have any margin past the Max Fill line.
Just a thought...

Re: What;s the worst tip you ever had from CPAPTalk?
do any of the heated hoses have a coil of wire along their length that could make that tip not so silly? lightning can jump across the room, across cordless phones. The S9 power brick is fully isolated. There is no conductive path between the power mains and the cord to the blower. I'd bet other ma...

Re: Is the climateline hose as flimsy as the slimline hose?
I bought a spare CL hose soon after buying my S9, back in April was it? The hose just has a flimsy feel to it. Like lizistired I keep my machine turned, not completely around but sideways so I only have a 90-degree bend. The spare hose is still in the bag. Even after a couple family trips the origin...

Re: Is the climateline hose as flimsy as the slimline hose?
Hmmm, too bad I already bought a spare CL hose.
Does the hose tend to develop a tear in one end or the other? I have been wondering about the inevitable tight bend needed
to attach to the rear-facing port on the humidifier, what kind of strain that puts on the hose.

Re: Best place to buy an S9 Autoset
I second the recommendation of cpap.com. I think Resmed regulates the price of the machine so you won't find a lot of variance there. However cpap.com has absolutely first-rate service, as I learned when my previous machine had a problem and needed repair under warranty. I don't even look anywhere e...

Re: Quattro FX -- Please post feedback on it
Yeah, I'm thinking the FX isn't going to be working out for me. It just doesn't seem to be stable enough for the shape of my face. Problem 1 seems to be the the fact that the attach points for the straps are far apart side-to-side but short top-to-bottom. That lets the mask rock easily up and down. ...
