The Pro2 can capture more data than the Pro which only captures basic compliance information. Both are basic CPAP only machines and both take the same humidifier. The Remstar Auto can do straight CPAP and APAP. See if you can get one of those as it'll do the basic job and give you added capability i...

My tech said "if we see you have sleep aphnea, we may come in during the night an put you on the machine". WRONG THING TO SAY - my mind was going 100% on that thought and I only got 1.5 hrs sleep the entire night.

I'd rather been kept in the dark and surprised later on.

Thanks, I never knew that option was there. It's difficult to find.

Having just purchased the Encore software; I can tell you I'm very surprised how little data they can get by reading the card with that software. It's all extracted and loaded into the MSSQL DB; but there is very little meaningful reports available except for compliance reports in Encore. Adding myE...

Pressure vs AHI

First, I want to than Derek the myEncore software. It's great and it's helping me a great deal see whats happening. I'm was running in APAP mode with pressure set from 8 to 12; my official prescription was for CPAP at 8 and then increased to 12 after my second study (they said they only looked at me...

Lori,

THANK YOU! I tried the new hose position last night and it is great. Now I now can sleep on either side without the hose getting in the way.

Thanks everyone - I expanded on the points you mentioned and walked out of the DMEs office with a nice new Remstar Auto machine set to CPAP mode (my prescription). I'll order the Encore Software and card reader this week. Now I'll be able to see how I'm doing and track my progress. Thanks again

DME Appointment

I made an appointment with the DME next week. I'm asking them to exchange my Remstar Pro for an Auto. My RX is for straight CPAP so they'll have to load it with that RX. I'm asking for the switch for the following reasons: 1) I don't want to pay for an obsolete machine when I go from rental to purch...

Re: D DAY Tomorrow

God knows they hooked me up to a machine <ramble mode on> Then they'll likely show you how they varied your pressure while you slept and how it reduced your aphneas. Then they'll prescribe you a machine, you'll get to meet the DME and wonder why you need him, then get a machine and wonder how you m...

I woke up once last night leaking a small amount of air from my mouth even with the strap. Just changed my position slightly and it stopped and I went back to sleep. I awoke this morning feeling no energy and my back was sore too. I've been under an extraordinary amount of stress this week so it may...
