I see you have the same mask I used. It was actually my second. I originally thought I was a mouth breather and needed a ff mask. However, I really, really couldn't sleep with the ff. Well, masks are a highly individual thing, and I'm sure there are plenty of folks who can wear the ff successfully. ...

Do we sometimes get better?
When I first started on cpap back in the summer, my ahi was consistently higher than 10 and the 90% pressure was 9 or more. (The pressure range is set between 6 and 11.) Now, the ahi is always below 5; the 90% pressure is approx 7. Of course, I've changed masks a couple of times since the beginning ...

Mindy, you were right, all the data was in the 32K backup file. Last night, after confirming this, I put the newly formatted card in the CPAP. I'm happy to report that this morning Encore Viewer created all of the graphs and tables it is supposed to. But last night's data is the only data on the car...

Thanks for the replies! GreenIce, I downloaded that utility from mycpap.org. I backed up my smartcard. Then I looked at the backup file. It's a .bin file with only 32K. Is that all there is? I would have thought a backup of over a month of data would require more than 32K. Anyway, I just wanted to c...

Problem with Encore ...
I've been using CPAP a little more than a month now. ( Really using it, I mean. I went through a couple of machines and a couple of previous masks without success. So, now I'm more or less sleeping through the night all hosed up.) I purchased Encore Viewer when if first came out, and it has been exc...

I have the sona pillow. I got it before the CPAP hoping it would suffice for my apnea. I think it helps some, but I eventually had to go with the CPAP anyway. Actually, right now, I'm using CPAP AND the sona pillow. Yeah, I tried those arm slings. Couldn't sleep that way. However, I've found that wh...

Thanks DreamStalker for your input. Yes, I had suspected it might have something to do with the algorithm. I tried searching for an explanation of the algorithm but couldn't find much. I also thought of the possibility that some sleep disturbances are causing those little peaks and that maybe those ...

Curious about Encore Viewer graphs ...
http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dghh2t92_14fmrzm8 The link above takes you to a slice of two Encore Daily Details graphs. The one on top is pressure vs time. The one on bottom is sleep disturbances vs time. You can't tell from this slice, but my M-series Auto is set for a min of 6 and a max of 11. Cf...

Thanks for the replies!! Suz-E-Q : I'm sure you're right about having to wait for the lcd info to update. That's definitely my experience, also. Wulfman : Yep, I took my card out this morning after only about 10 minutes and all the data was there. So, you're probably right about the card being updat...

Some questions about the smartcard and Encore graphs.
I'm using the REMstar Auto C-Flex CPAP Machine, and I read the smartcard with Encore Viewer. 1. Can you take the card out as soon as you wake up and turn off the cpap? Or might you lose data that way? In other words, I'm wondering if the data is recorded on the card immediately or if perhaps there i...

Here's a related question: Can you take the card out as soon as you wake up and turn off the cpap? Or might you lose data that way? In other words, I'm wondering if the data is recorded on the card immediately or if perhaps there is a delay between the time the machine is turned off and when the dat...
