Re: Kvetching
I use tape, but not across my whole mouth. I just do one side and it seems to be enough! Leaks are fine and if I do get a full mouth full of air, it can seep out the un-taped side! I did the same with the Polident strips...

Re: Hans Rudolph 7600 V2 Mask Recommendation?
I used one a bit ago and I liked it very much. What I really liked about it was it held my chin up. With any other mask I have to use a chin strap. I wanted to use that mask so badly, but my problem is that I have a narrow face and had trouble with leaks. The people are great at manufacturers office...

Re: A few masks.
Looks like you are neck and neck with me when it comes to masks! I use the Oracle now... took me three months to get used to it. Hope you have found success with your latest. I have traded some with others along the way. Also, if you do not find a buyer, your DME or Doctor may know of a way to help ...

Re: CPAPAuction shutting down?
7+ for me when it comes to masks... I was not a big user of the site when it came to machines (1 back-up), but for the trial and error of finding the right masks.... well number 14 is the winner and most of the preceding came from CPAP auction.
Thank you Johnny

Re: Deep Breathing - a Bonus?
Deep breathing has been my relaxation technique as I settle down. I am a sometime 'student' of Qigong and Yoga. Deep breathing is an integral part of both. Because of this, I could not get used to a CPAP and had to switch to APAP and EPR that comes with ResMed's Autoset8. Keep at it. Now, when I am ...

I have the resMed Autoset 8. Will the ResMed software work with Windows 7? I need to upgrade my laptop and want to make sure I will be able to keep using the software!

Re: Alpha Intrusion & Alpha Delta Sleep
Yes it shows. I have my apnea and all under control, but my last sleep study said Alpha Intrusions. Roughly, the rapid sharp alpha brain waves intrude during that time of sleep that the slow Delta brain waves should occur... your deep sleep. hence... diminished deep sleep. I am trying Jeffery Thomps...

Re: Anyone have experience with Dr. Thompson's Delta Sleep CD's?
Well this is not so much about Dr. Thompson... but about the Westone earpieces or monitors as they call them. I have alpha intrusions and it has just gotten worse. My sleep apnea is under control, but not my 'brain waves' I found some simple ones at the link below and the one I got was Gentle Dreams...

Thanks for the photo. No, I do not ever forget... I am thankful every day, despite the troubles this country is going through. We are a strong country and we will survive. especially when there are those who give their all to keep us safe.

Re: Seeking tips/insight with the Oracle Mask
Darn... lost my post!!!! For years I have had chronic rhinitis and nasal masks just aggravate it. I used the old fashioned 'gravy boat' neti pot on and off for years. Tried Neil Med (OK) Used Alkalol successfully till I developed an allergic reaction to it. Undergoing Chemo has made me ultra sensiti...

Re: Seeking tips/insight with the Oracle Mask
The 'chaos' was the apnea events, one after another!! I have the S8 Autoset. Pressure is now at 12 min... 14 max. Humidifier is at max with this mask. I had tried the humidifier at all settings with other masks and still had major problems. Last night was good. No cluster of events at all!!!! I just...

Re: Seeking tips/insight with the Oracle Mask
I am trying the ORacle as I have never gotten a fully rested result from any mask and I have gone through 10. I have a hypopnea problem... and my sinuses are not at all pleased at having air pushed through them. I probably need a higher pressure, but cannot do that with a nasal mask. Last night I wa...

Seeking tips/insight with the Oracle Mask
I have been using the Oracle for 4 nights. Other than 60-90 minutes of pure chaos... the picture (lack of events) is almost perfect. Those minutes can ruin the AHI numbers. It happened early one night and I still got 5 hours of good sleep despite an AHI of 16+... I felt more awake the next morning t...

Re: Primary Care asking for Second Opinion
Take a different attitude about CPAP and take control of your therapy - use CPAP, don't let it use you. CPAP is not a damn machine. CPAP is the only process that stands between us and our damned deficient airways and a damned poor life. Let's use CPAP to deal with the bad hand (airway) we were deal...
