Re: Sleep apena misdiagnoses?
Is 6 cm. your "prescribed" pressure? Why is it so low? Do you have a copy of your sleep study? It's been my understanding that (depending on the person) 6 cm. of pressure is probably not sufficient to expel the CO2........which sounds like what's happening to you.......you're re-breathing too much ...

Re: Data continuity when changing machines
It sounds like you didn't transfer your data card to the "new" machine.
Short answer "No".
Actually, having Encore Pro probably wouldn't fix that problem either......if you didn't keep the memory card.

Re: Need Help Changing Altitude Setting - REMStar Auto M Series
Moved from California, at sea level. As for what type of machine I have... it says REMStar M Series AFlex.... I see nothing else. Sorry if I'm being a pain. When I press Flex it gives me the option of C-Flex 1, 2, or 3. I believe my low pressure starts at a five, and I was told by the Dr my pressur...

Re: feeling like a patient or experiment
As I said in an earlier post, I am new to the CPAP patient world !! I am just wondering if anyone else feels the way I do. Every night when I go to bed I go from a regular person/mom/wife to feeling like a hospital patient or lab rat. I feel like me all day and then I go to bed and my husband or if...

Re: Spouse is hating the CPAP
Maybe a very frank conversation with her would help. There is tons of information on the Internet about the effects of untreated sleep apnea on our systems. In view of your past history and the past history in your family, you should explain to her that you NEED this therapy.......and her understand...

Re: Spouse is hating the CPAP
Well, it's been less than a week and my wife told me today that she's sick and tired of hearing about the CPAP machine. I didn't even think that I'd been talking about it much, but apparently too much for her. I know this isn't a counseling forum, but has anyone here ever had problems getting suppo...

Re: Respironics System One - How does Clock work?
Sure. The machines are set to GMT time at the factory. When you download the data with the software, it takes your computer time zone and adjusts the data to your time. There will probably eventually be an issue with the internal clock time in that as the battery loses some of it's power, it'll star...

Re: 420G Puritan Bennet
You might check this auction link from time to time. I believe there were some listed on it recently. Otherwise there are some listed that are probably better than the 420G. They seemed to have a history of blower problems. http://www.cpapauction.com/browse-cpap.php?page=1&category=3&SellerId=0&MadC...

Re: Low AHI but I don't feel rested
How would one know if they were opening their mouth at night? And how common is it for people to do so? The most glaring sign is that the person wakes up with a dry mouth. If they're using a nasal mask, their therapy air is then going out into the room and doing absolutely no good. If a person uses...
