Received a reply to my inquiry to Digital Discounters and I give them credit for being both prompt as well as honest on the 50F's availability. Inquiry was sent yesterday morning inquiring as to whether item was actually in stock...and specifications or .pdf copy of instruction manual if available. ...

Dad... Thanks for the information. I wonder when and if the 50F will truly be available...assuming you and the company rep actually understood each other. I'm in total agreement with you on your assessment of digital discounters. I share your skepticism when no address, in particular, is provided. T...

I would also like to add my thanks to Arizona-Willie for a well writiten and comprehensive report. My hope is that the CMS-50F is indeed on the market and, if the specifications match those of the CMS-50E and software is as reported by Willie, it will be of definite interest to me. I see no reason w...

The CMS-50F really appears to exist...but there's very little information on the actual specifications of the model. I'd certainly want to find out a few more details before I actually purchased one. However, the limited details available make it look tempting. As already noted...Contec doesn't list...

I'm considering getting an oximeter myself so have read this post with interest. I did some searching on the internet and discovered that Contec makes several other pulse oximeters besides the CMS-50E...two others which are also capable of downloading data. The CMS-50E appears to be a rather large f...

Anybody ever try the temperpedic matress? The commericals make it look wonderful, but I wonder for us side sleepers, would are arms still go to sleep as much? Just wondering! Jeff I don't have a Temperpedic...decided to give a memory foam topper try as a much less expensive alternative. Idea actual...

Pur-Sleep trial observations

I tried to be as objective as I could in this trial which I have now been on for approximately one month. I have suffered from sleep onset insomnia for years. However, since the introduction of CPAP nearly two years ago I have sleep maintenance issues due to the associated discomfort from the mask, ...

I vote for cotton candy...it would take me back to the county fairs of my youth. It’s a known fact that smell is a unique sense in that it can so immediately bring back memories. I figure that any scent that brings back memories of a relaxed more worry-free time would help put one in the same frame ...

Johnny...or anyone else interested in trying this. You can get a good idea of how helpful this modification will work for you without ever reaching for the scissors. I was pretty confident that it would work before I made the cut. If you're having trouble keeping the mask from leaking...or next time...

WxMan, with your headgear fix, have you eliminated the need for mack's ear plug silicone or anything else pertaining to your mask to ensure elimination of leaks. Your pics are great. Could you post pics of your leak line from your software, we would love to see the difference you headgear fix has m...

Thanks dreamstalker...yours is the easy fix so will just leave it in link status.

Suspect the most likely problem is a password issue with google.

Johnny... I now made no modification to the mask whatsoever...the modified harness solved the entire issue and works much better because it is essentially a permanent fix. Mack's seemed to help a bit for me but not all that well...still had plenty of leaks after an hour or two of sleep. As mentioned...

Well that didn't go as planned. Obviously I need to do some homework on picture posting...or if someone can give me a quick tip, I'll correct it. Thought I could just do a highlight of the link and it would post it as an image.

Link still works though, just remove the (img) from it.

Okay...per your request...here goes. First attempt at posting pictures so hope it works. This is the modified harness....note the top portion of the strap has been cut in two...the two overlapped (left portion pulled over the right and secured with a velcro strip...offset it slightly so it could be ...

Leak fix for mask--It's the harness!

After a year and a half of constant effort, trial, and experimentation, I’ve finally found a solution that has largely solved mask leak issues for me. It’s a harness modification...not a mask one. I offer a bit of history to see if it sounds familiar to any...for I suspect it will be those that migh...
