Supplies

Well, my insurance sucks...have a $3000 deductable, and have $0 towards it. I've been using the same supplies since June of 2009, which I guess is unhealthy. I need a Swift LT and a new hose, and have to pay for them out of my pocket. Can anyone tell me the best place to purchase them cheap as money...

No, I still suffer from dizziness so to speak. (feels like a really bad hangover) and have been putting weight on like gang busters no matter how little I seem to eat, since I started cpap 9 months ago. (somewhere in the 60-70 lbs. range) It all started when I started cpap, and after taking to a few...

I have no pulmanary problems nor any heart problems, just apnea. Was told that Apap is harder on my chest and heart because you have to actuall have to have an apnea for it to kick in, while with coao you don't. (not real sure how that works) I was also told that both machines hold data. A large adv...

Which machine is better?

Hi all! I have been using a Fisher & Paykel HC604, and started to feel like the pressure was to low. I contacted my DME, and they let me use a Resmed S8 auto set Vantage with a H3i heated humidifier in auto mode, to see what kind of pressure I need over the coarse of a month. It was 11.8, so my F.P....

I use the ol ace bandage trick, and never wake up with a dry mouth. When I was breathing through my mouth, I would wake up with VERY dry mouth. I guess I assume that there is no mouth leaking.

For sure no leaks...Is it something I could have gotten used to and need more pressure? If so, will it stop? Or will I constantly be bumping the pressure up?

Had the same problem...AYR nasal gel worked great for me. Use a q-tip to apply it to the inside of the nares. You can also use it to help in sealing your nasel pillows under your nose if you use them. I was always told not to use a petroleum based produce as it will shorten the life of your nasel pi...

Try using an ace bandage...wrap over the top of your head, and around under your chin. It doesn't need to be to tight as it is holding your jaw closed. To tight is painfull in the morning on your teeth. This should help keep you mouth closed and air from escaping.

Faulty machine?

Hi all. I have a Fisher Paykel machine, and have been learning to deal with using it. Things haven't been going to bad, but in the last couple of weeks, it seems as though the machine is not supplying enough air. The excess air through my nasel pillow seems to be less than before, my ears don't hard...

Some days, like today, my right inner ear seems pretty sore. We've questioned the doctor about an inner ear infection, and he looked at us like we were nuts. All we get is "No, it's anxiety". My head problems (eyes and dizziness) started when I started cpap, or at least witrh in a couple days. When ...
