Thanks for the replies. That makes sense. I talked to my technician and she suggested wearing it with the machine turned on, and not to fight too hard with it trying to get to sleep because that will just make it worse. So I'm going to give that a shot.

I have severe sleep apnea but I'm not tired, anyone else?

Here's something I was wondering about. I have severe sleep apnea (stop breathing 72 times per hour) and yet I have plenty of dreams and I don't think I am very tired most of the time. newbie getting used to mask, wear during day - mask only?

I am a newbie and I haven't been able to sleep at all yet with the mask on. One suggestion is to wear the mask some during the day. Is that just the mask by itself or is that actually hooked up to the machine and turned on?
